Some chameleon species are able to change their skin colors. Different chameleon species are able to change different colors which can include pink, blue, red, orange, green, black, brown, light blue, yellow and turquoise.[7][8]

Outside of Cher's wig, I don't see anything bizarre at all. Two of the finest performers of their time, at least one of whom has a reputation for being an incredible chameleon (in his musical styles, not just his appearance). Putting them together for a medley of covers seems like a no-brainer to me.

If you want to talk bizarre, the routine with Bowie and Bing Crosby seemed a much more unusual pairing. And -that- one turned out amazing as well.

From what I've heard, people have, and do, believe some pretty fucked up shit from time to time, and sometimes, ridicule is the most effective form of criticism , sometimes, its the only option. From newspaper comics to the joker in the kings staff, time and again, Humor, sarcasm and satire have frequently been the only allowed channel to speak truth to power.

Your reasoning shows how religion and religious people wants their cake and eat it too, like a chameleon, religion keeps changing to the circumstances, sometimes it pretends to be a free choice with no strings attached, other times it is as unchanging and rigid as skin color. It tries to defend itself as freedom of speech, while telling others they cant really critize it. In fact, again as your reasoning shows, religion goes even further in its opposition to free exchange of ideas, by declaring its ideas to be "sacred", they should not only be exempt from criticism, but even from ridicule.
