Arnold Schwarzenegger New Blunt Message For Donald Trump

BSR says...

Sometimes I think Bob is really a Liberal but, he just plays the "bad cop" to trick others into posting the truth because he doesn't quite know how to say it as eloquently others do.

Thank you Bob and newtboy. You make a great "Point - Counterpoint" team.

Love and hate are both passion.

Passion is the cement that keeps people bonded together.

The forces of capitalism did put a death nail into coal, Trump is pulling it out and putting coal on life support at our expense.

There are dozens of better, cheaper alternatives. Even natural gas beats it easily, and it's not great.

Finals: World Championships Death Diving 2018

Trust me.

This is NOT Death Diving.

Pour some cement mix in that water and let it dry. Then call me.

Rapid Bridge Replacement

jmd says...

Those signs are the result of a different crew and I'm sure they only wait till after it is done building to do the final measurments, and then they need to submit paper work to get the sign requested and made which could take a while.

I would be interested in knowing what the hell they were doing on the second weekend. They did an awful lot of passes and tarping, and you can also see what looks like dirt, but in the end the cement bridge is still whats exposed.

All that work and they didn't change the clearance sign.

CarbonCure’s Concrete Innovation

newtboy says...

Sure, let's say you need a foundation. Wouldn't it be best if it were one solid stone? Now, isn't it easier to make that stone in place and in the right shape from an easily transported liquid instead of hauling in a 150 ton slab you have to then carve into shape?
Edit : this seems to turn the cement back into a single solid stone which should be far more stable and solid than regular cement/concrete.

Anyone tell me why turning cement back into limestone, after going through all the bother of converting said limestone into cement, makes any sense whatsoever?

I think it should be paid for by co2 taxation. The cement makers free the co2, they should pay all costs to capture it again, not me. I'm not making profit from their co2 production, they are, so they should pay for the damages, that creates incentives for producers to not release it in the first place, government subsidies to recapture it without taxation on it's production do the opposite.

it sounds interesting, but how much more does it cost? if the societal benefits are greater than the added cost it should be subsidized by the government

Police Choke & Body Slam Man After Prom

newtboy says...

God damn, I wish that guy had kicked that fat fucker right in the balls so hard he has to quit the job permanently. He absolutely doesn't belong in a position of authority if he feels the need and right to choke out kids (edit: ok, turns out he's 22) 1/3 his size and body slam them into cement by the neck for being disrespectful....he needs to be in anger management classes after prison.

This was over a purely verbal argument. There was zero need for physical contact or arrest.

It's hard to fathom why crowds don't turn on police more often and do to them what they were doing to the kids they abuse. It's not hard at all to understand why the police are the enemy to so many people, deserving no respect, when so many abuse their power this way.

DEA Whistleblower Exposes Powerful Players In Opioid Crisis

MrFisk says...

I broke my spine in a car wreck 16 years ago. The pain pills (hydrocodone) I was prescribed sapped my resolve, and I was fortunate enough to stop using them before my addiction cemented itself. Glad you're still around and the new meds are working.

newtboy said:

My story: In 2001 I broke my back. I was started on vicodin and eventually Norco to minimize the Tylenol intake, at one point prescribed up to 8 Norco a day (I never took that many). This continued for 15 years, with my pain getting worse, until my doctor retired. My new doctor would not prescribe opioids at all, and put me on naproxen, which I was certain wouldn't cut it. To my surprise, it did, and soon my pain levels were incredibly lower with no medication (except marijuana) than they had been on up to 4 Norco a day. I still have pain, but averaging 2-3/10 instead of 4-8/10 (where 0 is no pain and 10 is passing out).

I now think I had opioid induced hypersensitivity, and that my meds caused most of my pain. I have to wonder how many others are still in that boat, playing addiction roulette and causing themselves pain.

Liberal Redneck - Virginia is for Lovers, not Nazis

Asmo says...

You obviously haven't been watching too much of the footage then, and you've bought the narrative hook, line and sinker.

The "anti protestors" showed up with bottles of quick dry cement, balloons filled with urine and feces, fireworks, glass bottles, mace, hairspray cans used as impromptu flamethrowers etc. Plenty of signs advocating the scalping/punching of nazi's of course. But yeah, totally impromptu and they were totally peaceful... 8 |

After the ACLU stepped in to get the permit reinstated for the right wing rally, the police the next day were ordered to stand down, leaving the rally attendees with zero protection and access to the event required passing through the anti-protester crows, which precipitated rapidly in to violence. Funny that, right? Almost like the powers that be set the whole thing up to guarantee it turned in to a riot... And then there's the grandstanding afterwards by the (D) mayor about those horrible racists... /grin

This has been documented by many left, right and center sources for anyone who bothers to look for it. It's less to do with Trump and more to do with the constant narrative that white = shit and how people are getting pissed off about it.

Far, far too easy just to label them all Trump loving nazi's than invest even the slightest bit of effort in to trying to work out what's truly going on, eh? \= |

newtboy said:

You must be fucking kidding, Asmo. The white nationalists are clear why they are feeling safe to unify and license to mobilize, their guy won the white house and he's gonna help them take their country back and make America white....I mean great again. When Trump tried to spread the blame for the violence, they saw that as another endorsement, as did most people. It's not a reaction to antifascists, antifascists are a reaction to their resurgence imo. Which came first, the KKK, the Neo Nazis, the alt right, or Antifa?
To be crystal clear, so you aren't confused again, my mention of the antifascists here is not an endorsement of their group or methods.

Barrier1 Systems Vehicle Arrestor Net

If this vid is an indication then instant deployment makes it very difficult to defeat i would guess. Also probably used in different places then compounds in dangerous areas where you often see cement block barriers. https://youtu.be/AcG4i29frXI

It would be neat to see what they are anchored to. Also, being suspended 3 feet off the ground makes it much easier to defeat than big heavy concrete blocks.

The failure of the media, explained

iaui says...

Never forget. Trump won by 70,000 votes. And lost the popular vote by over 3,000,000 votes. To say that these pundits' "entire analytical framework was drastically and catastrophically faulty" is totally wrong. They were wrong by whatever percentage of the total votes 70,000 votes is. Or maybe double that, to cement a Clinton lead. So they were wrong by 140,000 / 138,884,643 = 0.00100803081 so

They were wrong by 0.10%.

And based on the population who voted they were right by (Clinton's votes: 65,844,610) - (Trump votes: 62,979,636) = 2,864,974 votes / 138,884,643 = 0.02062844341.

They were right by 2.06%. They were over 20 times more right than they were wrong.

Also, regarding Economic and Racial anxiety, BOTH were correlated as predictors of support for Trump. That does not mean that every person who was Economically anxious was also Racially anxious but I would bet those populations do overlap somewhat, partly because the question isn't just 'Are you economically anxious?' but 'Are you economically anxious while Barack Obama is in the White House?'

I don't necessarily feel dumber having watched this video, but it's clearly very biased, and I do feel like it was a waste of my time to see it. The video's writer is obviously just looking to name a few Liberal up and comers and attempt to cut them down.

Also, consider the post source. @bobknight33 is as Russian-trolly as Russian trolls get. This is exactly the kind of right-wing propaganda they love to use to bash Liberals in America and push them further towards their wing.
