Dear Satan

newtboy says...

There is no evidence whatsoever that he lived again, and barely anecdotal evidence that his body went missing.
You vastly overestimate the theories acceptance outside devout religious theological scholars.
It's not all nonsense, just the magic parts.

History. Constantine converted and compiled the bible to consolidate and grow his political powers.

Satan wrote and fulfilled the bible and prophecies to trick you, just like every other religion. See how that falls apart?

Verified "truth" is a fact demonstrable in the physical world.
I don't buy into isms.

No, they were clearly instructions to individuals, not government...please. Even accepting your view, it's still killing, so no one could carry out the governmental stoning imperative...catch 22, you defy god either way.

But, since I don't believe, I don't accept or reject him.

Ahhh, so he didn't die for the world, only his supporters, you say, with non supporters (mostly tricked thorough no fault of their own) getting eternal torture. Diabolical, monstrous in fact.

Only like cancer that only exists when you believe it does.

I do those things for myself, it's working fine and I take responsibility for myself. I would suggest if Jesus worked as you say, to perfection, no Christian would ever be depressed or do wrong, they would be perfect people without problems....1)what about when you/they don't behave perfectly, is Jesus busy?

If there was zero law enforcement on earth and no vigilantes, it would be like that.

A sign, like the cardboard sign the driver's holding? Yep.

I might get in the car out of curiosity, but wouldn't just accept that coincidence or mental implantation means divinity. I would think it's likely I'm being visited by ET, who would be easily mistaken for gods by believers.

2)Again, I must ask, if you know he has that power of personal revelation, but chose to not use it, why would you defy your own God's wishes to try to convert others? Maybe he needs us heathens to be heathens.

1) The resurrection is absolutely not historical. Jesus the man MIGHT be.

There is a lot of scholarly research that says it is historical,

Liberal Redneck - Virginia is for Lovers, not Nazis

newtboy says...

KKK, alt-right, nazi party, white nationalists, and generic right wing racists, all under the banner 'Unite the right' (meaning right wing, not the correct). That's not one radical group it's a conglomeration of many, all of which are firmly on your 'team', and the counter protesters were not so organized and were mostly non-affiliated locals protesting a hate march/rally in their town.

The right wingers came armed, in riot gear, with shields, clubs, and mace. The anti protesters had cardboard and sticks they picked up on site when confronted, and mace. The right marched, without permits, all weekend. (the one event they had a permit for was canceled due to repeated violence in each of those unsanctioned marches) The right wingers were 90%+ non residents that came to start a fight, the anti-protesters were, from what I've seen, nearly 100% locals.
The right wingers committed actual murder and uncountable attempted murders and assaults. I didn't hear of or see a single right winger being killed or even hospitalized.

With the right as one of those extremist groups, I expect violence, no matter the circumstances and I'm rarely disappointed.

But yeah...like your president, feel free to continue deflect blame from your team and keep trying to pretend it's all the "other's" fault and they are responsible for your team's hate crimes and racism. That's working so well for him...and you....winning.

*Facepalm*

Way to stand with the Nazis, Bob. Nice job.

PS: It's ANTIFA, not ANFTA. It's short for ANTIFACIST. Know your enemy.

Steak is tough one to replicate, you'll probably have to wait for the lab grown stuff. But just about everything else we've got you covered

If you like your chicken crumbed, these are great https://gardein.com/product-type/chickn/
(the un-crumbed ones I don't really like)

from Asian stores/take-outs 'roast duck' seitan is also very nice.

And in general sausages and burger patties most are pretty nice these days.

I'm not sure how things are on your end of the world, but where I live most supermarkets carry mock-meats which taste like cardboard so avoid like the plague! But if you go to a specialty store they should have the brands that actually taste good. Once you know the brands that you like then you can sometimes find them in a regular grocer as well.

But really at the end of day if you're eating the "starch solution" 6 days then eat real meat once a week, then you're still doing a lot more good than bad. Less is always better.

I'm not sure I could ever stop eating meat (primarily chicken), but I understand that there is serious mistreatment and mismanagement of farm animals. I think a greater adoption in North America of CAK (controlled atmosphere killing) via something like high concentrations of nitrogen gas would be a great improvement, especially if it could be extended to pigs and cows. The old stun bolt or electric immobilization (for poultry) and throat-cut method seems so barbaric and I find it hard to believe that it doesn't result in pain.

that was awesome.
i hope del toro gets to make "mountains of madness",because i love the imagery he used in hellboy, which was VERY lovecraftian.

i stumbled upon lovecraft from my dad,and by accident.
my dad had a ton of the those sci-fi,horror pulp magazines from the 40's and 50's in the basement.

i think i was around 9 or 10 and my dad had given me the job of clearing out the basement, because he was going to remodel it..and i remember coming across this old,and dusty cardboard box filled with those books.

i spent the entire afternoon reading..and reading..and reading.
and it was lovecraft that i fell in love with, although at my young age he was not an easy read.you have to absorb lovecraft rather than actually read him.

this was the weekend i also discovered isaac asimov, ray bradbury, fred saberhagen and jack l chalker.

so i fell in love with lovecraft before stephen king.

and then my big sister tried to introduce me to dean r koontz.
and well..fuck dean r koontz, fucking hack and plagiarist.

seriously..fuck dean r koontz.

Is this a negligent or accidental discharge of a gun?

harlequinn says...

The purpose of the device (a gun) is to propel a projectile at great velocity. The purpose of the projectile is to sometimes kill or injure but mainly just put holes in paper. Just sayin'.

These days firearms are mainly used for shooting steel, cardboard and paper targets. I own competition guns made solely for shooting cardboard and steel. The market determines what they are built and bought for, not you.

Now, you've changed the topic to "responsibility". I hadn't seen anyone here argue he lacked responsibility for the operation of the device. On top of that, if the device is faulty and it malfunctions you are not necessarily liable for what happens. There is case law on this in the USA.

There are accidental shootings. I've literally got a degree in treating people who have been victims of accidental or purposeful shootings. There is lots of case law covering accidental shootings (and the law says that there are accidental shootings). Accidental doesn't mean there won't be repercussions.

Stormsinger said:

It's not wrong. If you choose to operate a device that has the sole purpose of killing and injuring, you are absolutely responsible for whatever happens. It does not matter if the gun operated correctly a million times before, it's -still- your responsibility if something goes wrong.

Now, because he followed proper gun-handling rules, nobody got hurt. But if someone had, he'd have been 100% at fault. There are no accidental shootings, period.

Movers broke his stuff

Payback says...

I suspect this is an insurance scam. His story changes as he tells it. Things like "the guy I bought this from is dead" then "it was my brother ". The packing is horrifically poor too. Who the Hell uses those flimsy plastic bins to ship stuff? Just silly. Even corrugated cardboard is tougher.

I threw down $40-50 on SC a long time ago. A few months ago I played through some of the new sections of the alpha and they were pretty awesome for an alpha. The little bit of alpha I played was more immersive than anything I played in Elite (of which I paid $75 for).

One of the coolest things I did in the SC alpha was stowing away on a huge ship. I mean these vessels are massive. Now, if they didn't fly like pieces of cardboard - that would be nice.

I really don't care how long it takes.

California Election Fraud-NPP Voters Get Provisional Ballot

Sagemind says...

Can someone explain this to us?

In Canada we walk up, are handed a paper ballot, we go behind a cardboard screen, strike an X in the preferred vote box with a pencil, pass it back to the person running the table, who puts it into the Ballot box in front of us, and then we walk out.

If I'm understanding what she's saying, you need to register how you're going to vote before you vote??
-Why would people be given different Ballot sheets to vote on? -Why do you need to be registered with one party or another to get to vote?
-Why would people who are not registered with a party, get a completely different type of voter sheet?
-Why would A Provisional Ballot exist?
-Why would Provisional Ballots never get counted?

None of this makes sense to me.
WTH is going on with US Democracy system? - which seems to be the least democratic system I've ever seen.

Watch artist Phil Stein make insanely intricate 3D Poster

Sagemind says...

Well, it may look more complex than it is.
We made these in my first year 3D Sculpture class in Art school.
We used Foam-core, cardboard and paper, but the concept was the same. Creating a multi-layered image that expands out in 3D but when viewed straight-on can be viewed as 2D.

What he has here is no so much as a puzzle as it is, assembled.
