As for it being more dangerous than overt totalitarianism. The argument would be that you can see and fight overt ideologies, as such they are considerably less of a threat in modern developed countries.

Here I think, it would be "more dangerous" simply in the sense that there is a greater danger of anything significant actually happening.

Naturally the jackboots and piano wire kind is infinitely worse in practice. But there seems considerably less danger of that kind of totalitarianism gaining a serious foothold in most of our cultures than in times past.

The policing of peoples thoughts, language and consensual behaviour on the other hand (epitomised by the PC gone mad crowd). Could perhaps be said to be more dangerous, simply in the sense that it has more potential to do actual damage.

After hearing more of the story, it is seeming more and more like this probably was a fishing expedition for 'racial and/or religious injustice'.
He was, reportedly, repeatedly asked by numerous teachers to put his clock away, as it would make some people nervous (and already had), instead he continued to take it to class after class until one teacher (in an English class, his 4th class?) insisted on an explanation about what he was showing around the class, and he steadfastly refused to give any at all.
He could not have intentionally made himself any more suspicious without putting a ski mask on, IMO. I hope all these offers dry up if it becomes more clear this was all intentional on the student's (parent's?) part. I sure don't want to see that kind of baiting behavior rewarded.

EDIT: As a side note, any clock with an alarm could actually be a bomb...or at least a trigger. My brother was suspended in the 80's for an altoids tin with a battery, mercury switch, and buzzer. When you picked it up it buzzed, and inside was a note saying "boom, this was a bomb, you just died"....he played 'gottcha' at the time (kind of a spy vs spy game played at schools back then, where you had an assignation target and someone else targeted you) and that was his best way of 'killing' his opponents. You are correct, they do not break down suicide by method, so some portion of that 20k could be guns. There are also 34 mass shooting deaths this year and 726 people shot by police. Then again they didn't add together some of the other items, like all vehicular deaths.

In any case, I was not fudging numbers, I picked the most obvious option and listed it.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not that the deaths from guns don't count, it is that the level of attention paid to them is far and above that paid to other forms of death. It's the same thing with people getting bit by sharks. The total number is incredibly low compared to other deaths or injuries from being in the ocean, but whenever it happens, you will see nothing but that in the headlines. That is what I was trying to say. It sucks that people have died from guns, but if we are going to sensationalize those deaths over others, it is nothing more than an agenda to demonize them.

I am all for implementing more restrictions on guns or other weapons, especially in ways that will make it more difficult for mentally ill people to get their hands on them and also methods that will help police identify guns that have been used in crimes. In many cases, the problem is not totally with the restrictions, but with how lax the enforcement is of the ones that are in place. We need to look at this as well. But the video is not about that, it is about making guns the villain. It is the same thing with semi automatic rifles, people with an agenda will call them things like "Military weaponry", "Assault Rifles", and "Automatic Machine Guns". They use buzz words to make them seem more than they are and yet you have clueless people like Joe Biden who says things like "get a shotgun", not realizing that a shotgun can easily wound and kill people faster than a semi auto rifle.

In any case, as I stated before, I don't mind regulations. I would mind bans and it is clear that many of the more hardcore anti gun people want that to be the end game.

Is this part of a series of fan shorts? I love how they depict Spawn. Chilling and truly demonic. I do, however, wish there was more solidity, like a feeling of more weight, once Spawn solidified from his demon essence.

If i understand you correctly, every time you refresh this page views may jump at different rates. One through four views per refresh? If so just know that views are internet wide. All people members and mostly non members that stumble across this post. From what i can tell on a quick check the average views of non members to members on videos is seven to one(im estimating from a small sample). so if a video says 70 views may be only 10 sifters that have seen it. Not sure if this type thing is what you are referring to.
