Georgia Law Enforcement Refuse to Report Forfeiture Funds

Major Lawsuit Filed Today Seeks to Shine Light On Georgia Law Enforcement Slush Funds (March 30, 2011)

Law enforcement slush funds?
Georgia law actually is remarkably clear on this point; law enforcement agencies must report civil seizures to local governing bodies every year. Unfortunately, many law enforcement agencies, including those sued by IJ, simply choose to ignore this mandate.

Sharron Angle explains the plot to the book "1984"

Bullshit call #1
There are huge obvious differences between the Democrats and Republicans. I believe you are familiar with them. If you'd like me to spell them out for you, I can. Bush agenda: Tax cuts for the rich and war. Obama agenda: Healthcare and withdrawal from Bush's wars. Also see: abortion, taxes, the death penalty, labor, health, military, drugs, economy, etc.

Bullshit call #2
The free market libertarian party and movement is corporatist, supported by people like Richard Mellon Scaife and Koch Industries. David Koch was actually on the ballot in 1980. They are every bit as 'evil' (in your words) as the Republican party from an economic standpoint.

The Democrats and Republicans are no longer "for the people" They are for themselves

It seems to me that the Tea Party sprung up from teh Ron Paul supporters that desired to bring back constitutional based government.

Speaking of Bob Barr. The Libertarian part are about personal choice. So if they dismantle programs / laws at the Federal level like: Abortion, Gay rights, School prayer Federal mandated school agenda,. Then it would become STATES rights, where it belongs anyway.

You're so full of shit. Libertarians might want to promote individual's rights but the only way they can do that is through government policy in some form. Saying that voting Democrat is simply voting for the lesser of two evils is nonsense because every government uses statism in some capacity (even a Libertarian one).

So go ahead, vote for Bob Barr. He's the lesser of three evils if we follow your 'statism @ any level = evil' logic.

Sarah Palin Book Signing - Meet The Fans

longde says...

When has Palin actually limited the size and scope of government? When she supported the "bridge to nowhere" ($398 MILLION in federal funds that she didn't return when the project was eventually cancelled)? When she ran up her state's travel expense accounts on her and her family for non-business? When she abused her powers to get her ex-brother in law sacked? Yeah, that's a real small government conservative.

For you to choose to vote for someone who is obviously incompetent over someone whose politics you merely differ with is crazy. I've voted for 3rd party candidates before; at least go that route.

I shiver at the thought of Palin in a meeting with Hu Jintao, Medvedev or Netanyahoo. She'd get eaten alive. She can't even handle Katie Couric.

Either you haven't thought it through or you are crazy.

Sigh... Palin is not a neo-con. Neo-cons are big government conservatives. Palin is a small government conservative. That's why she's so popular - most Republicans had to hold their noses to vote for GWB the second time and many rejected McCain, because they were both for the massive expansion of government. See for example Spendulus I. Obama continued the trend with Spendulus II.
Conservatives are (rightly) asking where all the money for the Spendulus bills will come from, and the Republican Party is providing no leadership in opposing the expansion of government - the party is nearly rudderless. Even though Palin wouldn't be my ideal candidate for president, I'd vote for most any candidate that was for limiting the size of government. Last year I voted Libertarian (Bob Barr), for example. If Palin ran against Obama, I'd vote for her.
All the liberal FUD aside, her stances on the issues are actually quite thoughtful and reasonable. I've followed her notes on Facebook from time to time:

The Militarization of the Police Force

EndAll says...

>> ^maximillian:
For the 2-4th posters... you don't seem to get it. This has been happening way before Obama and way before 9/11.
I am all for the police employing protection so when confronting a hostile perp. they themselves don't get hurt. However, the police are actively inflating people's anger. Besides what was presented in the video, consider:
- increased use of tasers on people that don't pose a threat. Some even results in death.
- free speech zones
- What just happened in Pittsburgh
- The DHS insistence that they can search anyone without a warrant within 100 miles of any border (check out their website for more info). This would make over half of all Americans not subject to constitutional protection
- Constant police intimidation for simply try to exercise one's first amendment right.
- Police involvement in protect events in LA and Seattle in recent years. There is a trend to use the police force is often used to oppress opposing political views.
- TSA's police state in airports.
- and the list goes on..
Basically, this is about control and subjugation of the American people by the American government. It's the governments wet dream. And, unless we stand up it's only going to get worse.
This government needs to undertsand that this is not welcome, and it's un-American. Crap, we just lost the 2016 Olympic bid for Chicago because of concerns of abusive airport security for foreigners. Way to go DHS!

Don't forget the DHS's own report on domestic terrorism - which singles out "right wing extremists" and "right wing terrorists" as the biggest threat to national security today. If you have a Ron Paul bumper sticker, watch out:

"The report warned law enforcement agencies to watch for suspicious individuals who may have bumper stickers for third-party political candidates such as Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin."

Or if you're a returning vet - it's likely you'll end up becoming a domestic terrorist, too!

"Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right-wing extremists," it says. "DHS/I&A is concerned that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to boost their violent capacities."

The myth of violent, war-crazed veterans coming home and wanting to keep killing is exactly that, a myth.

Rachel Maddow - Obama Advocates Indefinite Detention?

Bruno (new movie from Sacha Baron Cohen) -- redband trailer

keitholbermann says...

http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=12586

While the moronic Ron Paul was campaigning for the U.S. presidency, Bruno cleverly tricked him into a dark bedroom during an interview. Bruno made passes at the homophobe Paul, and at one point Bruno dropped his pants in front of the congressman. Paul ran out of the room yelling, "He's a damn queer!"

I commend Sacha Baron Cohen for taking extreme risks in the name of outing known homophobes in our representative government. It's obvious Paul hates gays by that comment alone.

Cohen also cleverly tricked the equally moronic (and equally fringe libertarian) Bob Barr into eating cheese made from human breast milk in the Borat movie. I like to think the breast milk came from the teet of a poor working class single mother without enough welfare to care for her family of eight.

So, er... how's those donations going then? (Money Talk Post)

Yeah, Gorgon, you're a whopping 0.16 points away from authoritarianism.
