Lol! Pennsylvanian Republicans just lost another case trying to toss out their own mail in voting law after it didn’t help them in 2020 or 22. 😂

Seems MAGA is losing cases left and right in their desperate attempt to block any voters that aren’t retired white people or corporations. (Yes, Republicans are trying to give any corporation a vote in elections as if they were citizens).

Fortunately, they’re just too dumb to understand the law and constitution and are losing bigly, like with multiple MAGA states who implemented hyper biased redistricting intended to favor republicans now being forced to create new democratic districts. Trumpism destroyed your party and it’s prospects.

Bonus- DC Federal Judge Amy Berman Jackson who just ordered Donald Trump to sit for a deposition in the wrongful termination and retaliation cases brought by Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. They got around the “apex doctrine” because Trump repeatedly bragged publicly that he was 100% responsible for having them fired, and his lame excuse that he didn’t have time ignored because he has time for dozens of frivolous lawsuits against others, so he has time to be deposed. Not a huge deal, but likely another few million of your political donations will go to hand Trumps enemies huge judgements and settlements (and pay his horrific lawyers). Lots of that going around.
Also the DC bar report on Giuliani recommends his disbarment for his part in the big lie.

Care to explain how Barr, (I mean Trump according to Barr, although Trump claims it was all Barr, no one wants the blame) first publicly lied claiming that he quit then "fired" (if Trump is to be believed, Barr actually wrote an official letter claiming Trump had fired him, but according to Trump it was a fraud and a lie so he hasn't been fired?) well respected US Attorney Geoffrey Berman who was actively investigating numerous Trump crimes is any different from the lie he told to make you outraged at Biden for interfering in an investigation of the company his son LATER worked at?

....I mean besides the part where Trumpco actually did this unlike Biden, besides the fact that Trump/Barr themselves were actually under investigation by this US Attorney unlike Biden who was never accused of ANYTHING connected with the allegations about Barisma before he was with the company, and unlike the fact that these multiple investigations of direct violations of AMERICAN laws are still underway in American courts unlike Barisma which at the time had no active investigation ongoing at all when Biden consulted for them or when Joe helped get an internationally known corrupt prosecutor removed?

This is what he whined and lied about Biden doing but in spades.

Of course you support him, but I wonder if you can explain why without delving into a Trump fantasy where only Trump's claims are fact despite all evidence to the contrary.

Where's your outrage now? Were you mad at Biden because he removed your country's stooge prosecutor but don't care about Trump because he's only hurting your enemy, America? It's the only logical conclusion.

Don't break up with fossil fuels

Is this seriously not a parody? Holy shit. @:48 "A group of anti-energy activists..." - really? Anti-energy? "I hate energy!" "Yeah, me too! "Fuck energy!"

Edit: Apparently the group that made this is run by / connected to one Rick Berman, who I'd not really known anything about previously. Found a post with some info on the guy, sounds like a winner: "a Washington lobbyist and arch-enemy of other lobbyists and do-gooders who would have government control—and even ban-a myriad of products they claim are killing us, products like caffeine, salt, fast food and the oil they fry it in. He's against Mothers Against Drunk Driving, animal rights activists, food watchdog groups and unions of every kind..."

Star Trek TNG Bluray Old Vs New - Unbelievable Difference

Winstonfield_Pennypacker says...

They should really start with seasons that don't suck if they expect to generate interest from fans.

Mostly this. In actuality, all of the Rick Berman Star Trek seasons (from TNG to Enterprise) have good episodes and very BAD episodes in them. Season one was predominantly the bad episodes, but there were a few really good ones in it. By season two the balance shifted and it was about 50/50 good/bad episodes. Then by season 3 they hit their stride and it was mostly good episodes with only a few bad ones here and there.

But yeah, if they really want this to fly they should have started with Season 3. I really hope that they keep this up because I'd love to get Deep Space Nine in Blu-Ray, but I don't expect the effort will sustain that long. They are charging and arm and a leg for Star Trek seasons, and I'm just not willing to pay more than 30 to 40 bucks a season for ANY show.

Front Groups - The Hidden Persuaders

bighead says...

As David Berman pointed out so eloquently, when asked if he considers him self a poet or a song writer, he said " the only thing I "am" is an American. It seems pompous when people call them selves scientists. Really so if your a scientist you are more able to distinguish bullshit form truth.

With so many opinions on what a legitimate study is, (the dogma of the double-blind study as the only validity of a subject) I think science is going down down into the ground.

I remember in the early 90's smart was not easy to come by. Now even dumbest are considered smart. Because they use fancy phones and work with computers, what is beyond science?

Environmental Bullshit

gargoyle says...

Using one or two youth gatherings, and featuring idealistic but ill-informed youths to represent the gamut of Canada's environmentalists who do rely on ecologically-based, well researched positions, is bull****.

To represent Canadian environmentalists at their best, P&T should have spoken to David Schindler, Elizabeth May, Tzeporah Berman, Maude Barlow, Holly Dressel, to name but a few.

Patrick Moore's pro-forestry stance, btw is not well regarded by some of Canada's most effective environmentalists: e.g. Montel Hummel of World Wildlife Fund who said: "I have read Patrick's book, Pacific Spirit. It is not the work of a 'forest ecologist' but a disappointing blend of pseudo-science and dubious assumptions being used to defend clearcutting and the forest industry."

SpaceShip2 (Virgin Galactic) Assemby Video

schmawy says...

Composite structures are different from what we usually see in planes, which are "monococque" structures of a frame and stressed skin. These are hand-laid fibers of a tensile strength higher than that of steel, embedded in epoxy, vacuum bagged, then catalytically cured or cured in ovens. Sometimes a single filament of tremendous length is wrapped continuously around the parts, providing even higher strength. It has nothing to do with robots. More like building a boat or musical instrument or weaving or something. I think it's almost always done with careful hands and experienced eyes, and yes, often by guys in old concert t'shirts.

Yeah, a robot can stuff a board with chips, or spot-weld a chassis, or be your cruel master, but robots are dumb. They can't see, feel, intuit, craft. Believe me, the human hand is not something to be underestimated.

Plus, this is the second one. They've already proved that it works. So there. And you all want to give these nice folks jobs away to our cold hearted overlords. For shame.

Robot walks into a bar,
Orders a drink, lays down a bill,
Bartender says 'we don't serve robots',
robot says 'No, but someday you will'.
