Honest Trailers - Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones
He's one of those actors that need a good director and script. If his first big break was with Whedon and not Lucas, he'd have an Oscar or Golden Globe or something by now. At least an MTV award...
At least Portman got out from under the shadow. That's a good thing.
Now that I think about it, wasn't Anakin supposed to be 14 or 15 in Clones? He was what, 6 in Phantom Menace? Playing it like a mewling child just might be correct. He was just too obviously older.
I sometimes wonder if maybe Hayden Christensen would have turned out to be a great actor if it weren't for his first major role being directed by George Lucas.
Okay, maybe not, but I do feel for the guy because it clearly is the directing that ruined his character.
Dadholes
ROFLMAO! Father of a two-and-a-half-year old and I've said some of those things to my daughter at the playground before in exactly that voice.
"Don't eat the sand, honey. Don't eat the sand! DON'T EAT THE--COMERE!"
Plus my daughter loves Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. In particular, Hayden Christensen. She asks for "Anakin" by name and demands to watch it at least once a week.
Top 10 Worst Movie Casting Choices
I'm definitely not saying that Hayden Christiansen is a great actor, but Anakin's whiny petulance came purely from George Lucas's shitty dialogue. I don't think there are many actors that could have portrayed Anakin better, Lucas gets complete responsibility for the character of Anakin
Top 10 Worst Movie Casting Choices
It wouldn't matter who they cast as Anakin Skywalker, the movies still would've been ass.
4 Rules to Make Star Wars Great Again
Some of the worst parts of the prequels were in "the frontier", with Anakin making crap out of dirty old parts. The reason the prequels sucked wasn't because of details of the setting or because there wasn't enough arms getting cut off or something. It's because the story was poorly written and the acting was horrible (mostly due to script/direction problems).
All Six Star Wars Movies
This RotJ has the awful Hayden Christensen replacement for Anakin at the end. I hope the Disney movies are able to redeem this series somewhat. I can't imagine them being worse than what Lucas did with the prequels. Start with casting. The Anakins were just horrible in the prequels. And JarJar... wtf?
Star Wars 7 trailer, directed by Michael Haneke
No, Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker lives!

Sad George Lucas
it's odd. for a long time, I've wanted someone to take over the reins of Star Wars because Lucas is a shit writer/director that surrounded himself with yes-men. I wanted him to see over and over what Star Wars could be like without his ego mucking shit up.
Hell I remember how adamant he used to be that VI was the end. It was the story of Anakin and when Anakin died, it's over. Now he's saying he'd been working on VII VIII and IX? Yeah fuck you George. You have become the evil empire.
At the same time though, now that it has happened and JJ is directing the next movie and George is out of the picture for good. I just derive no joy out of it. I would have preferred a lesser known director. I have enjoyed JJ's movies, but at the same time, the guy has his stupid tropes and hangups too.
I guess im just getting more and more fed up with Hollywood. Of course I'll go see the new movies. I'm so sick of the beating of the dead horse though

Sure. Check out the vicious oppression at 0:48. Granted, it might not scare humans, but for feathers, that's got to be terrifying!>> ^ant:

So when does Anakin become Darth Vader?
If you're a feather, he already is.
Feather?
Ha. OK. Well, I have a catnap force.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 5 Trailer
>> ^brycewi19:
What's with the black lightsaber? It's pretty badass, actually.
[WARNING! POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!]
It's a darksaber, a sort of ancient prototype lightsaber that was stolen by Mandalorians and thought lost. It reappeared in the second season of the clone wars in the possession of the Mandalorian Pre Vizsla (who appears in this trailer).
I've only watched up to the 3rd season. Some episodes were pretty cool but it's been hit or miss for me. I find the show to be at its finest when it hints at Anakin's dark side, like when he (unbeknown-st to the other Jedi) uses the Force to torture a prisoner for information in order to save the life of his Padawan.
This season looks like it's going to rock, though. I might have to go rent Season 4.
