Nobody in this video says anything remotely like that. The Amish guy says "we all got covid". Nor does he say that fewer Amish died than English, or that they didn't get as sick. What he does say is that some things are more important to them than trying to never get sick, or to live as long as humanly possible.

Growing up I lived with an amish family for 2 summers. As a city kid it was one of the first times I experience culture shock. They have their own way. Time and time again they have demonstrated they are willing to die in order to keep doing things their way.

Um….the horse and buggy still exists. It’s the main transport in many (often poorer) places, even some in America (Amish country).

You’re insane if you think the internal combustion engine is dead. Even if that was the worldwide goal, it would take decades upon decades to pull off and tens-hundreds of trillions in subsidies….and even then there are hundreds of applications where electric doesn’t work for hundreds of reasons.
If you believe that, why do you support expanding oil exploration and offshore drilling? Why destroy the few places left unadulterated for a horrendous energy source you claim is phasing out soon. That’s incredibly short sighted and dumb.

Besides, you might be unaware, the electric car was more accepted than combustion engines before, at the turn of the last century. We’ve seen this movement before. It didn’t turn out as you predict.

Electric is great, but it’s not a panecea, and it’s not a painless switch.

I noticed all the top reviews are 1 star reviews complaining about a book they clearly haven’t read and, as I hinted above, actually claiming it can be found in 4th grade school libraries. These reviews were mostly posted Sept 10 or afterwards , and all have 400 + people found this helpful ratings, putting them first even though the book has a 4 star rating (it was higher yesterday). I just reported them for abuse of the rating system, you all should too….it’s blatantly obvious they are basing their review on this video, not the book.

The things she must think about Family Guy….it’s so much more graphic, and impossible to hide from her 4th grader unlike a book … unless they’re Amish.

I would take it a step further - anti-vaxxers aren't just anti-medicine, but also anti-science, and are all hypocrites unless they personally live like the Amish.

We've been told this design is the future for closing in on 100 years now. This is not innovative unless you're Amish, and even then you won't use it because you'd be Amish. Also you wouldn't be on the internet... because you're Amish.

hilarious. They should remove the passenger & rear seat to cut weight. maybe keep a 12V battery just to power the rear hazard lights. Perhaps add one of those orange triangles to the back like Amish horse-n-buggies have...
