Submarine Exploring Titanic Wreckage Goes Missing;
Absolutely…if the choice is extremely slow death suffocating in the frozen dark with your son/father or insta death so fast you never knew it was happening, it’s not really a choice, is it?
I can only imagine what it would have been like being alive in that sub waiting for rescue for 5 days. Hopefully they would have had a deck of cards to help pass the time. The outcome seems like a blessing rather than having to survive the circumstances which would have seemed like forever for them.
Good Morning VIETNAM Creedence Clearwater Revival
That looks like fun set to that music.
Damn that sarcasm button.
The imagery makes me think of my army service, on the other side of the iron curtain, we used to have a compulsory 2 years (1 year for university graduates after school, fortunately) so all the 18 yo kids got "drafted" for two years, not to war, but you never knew...
Everyone hated to go, hated it while there, it was a total waste of time, buggery, bigotry, boredom, drink and drugs, women, etc.
Everyone counted down the time to go home day by day like in jail.
Yet everyone posed for heroic photographs, preferably with their tanks (our group stood in front of our kitchen :-) and pretended to be manly.
That is how I see Vietnam, scared kids thrown into a difficult to justify war against the local people in a foreign country. Unenviable.
They deserve all the accolades and any help they can be given tenfold. Also they were all heroes if they did not chicken out.
And god bless America (meaning the US of A) if it can come up with a better way to pick wars. Kind of a hint is if you have to "defeat" the whole local population to win, dont start.
Stay In School, Kids...
to know you don't know is to know you don't know.
if you know, then you have the ability to know.
if you don't know, that you don't know, then you may not have the ability to know, that you don't know.
and may never know that you never knew.
the dunning-kruger effect in effect.

I'm Gonna Miss You for a Long, Long Time
Love will abide, take things in stride
Sounds like good advice but there's no one at my side
And time washes clean love's wounds unseen
That's what someone told me but I don't know what it means.
Cause I've done everything I know to try and make you mine
And I think I'm gonna love you for a long long time
Caught in my fears
Blinking back the tears
I can't say you hurt me when you never let me near
And I never drew one response from you
All the while you fell all over girls you never knew
Cause I've done everything I know to try and make you mine
And I think it's gonna hurt me for a long long time
Wait for the day
You'll go away
Knowing that you warned me of the price I'd have to pay
And life's full of flaws
Who knows the cause?
Living in the memory of a love that never was
Cause I've done everything I know to try and change your mind
and I think I'm gonna miss you for a long long time
Cause I've done everything I know to try and make you mine
And I think I'm gonna love you for a long long time.

Akira Kurosawa - Composing Movement
There is a language to film. There is a language to music. There is a language to painting. There is a language to photography. They are hard to learn, but their rewards are excellence. Even if you can only pick up a few phrases, those will open doors you never knew existed.
This video is a perfect example of that.
President Obama Reads Mean Tweets
This is exactly what racist old tea party members say Lantern.
Who cares what holidays the White House acknowledge.
It's called extending an olive branch. A sign of peace.
Do you realize that the Iranian people dislike their leadership waaay more than you dislike Obama.
The difference: They are oppressed by a theocracy.
You are oppressed by your unwillingness to work with Democrats.
Admit that the only real reason you don't like Obama is because of his party affiliation.
It's a shitty reason, but at least it's honest.
Also, it's rude to call him an son-of-bitch. You never knew his mother.
Obama WH just celebrated an Iranian holiday. Why didn't the SOB run for president over there? He has next to nothing in common with American traditions and history.

Everyday Things You Never Knew Had Names
Whenever a video includes the phrase "things you never knew", that tells me that I'm going to know at least half of them. And they forgot to include the aglet.
Eric Hovind Debates a 6th Grader
Shinyblurry said this to me a while back in another thread:
"As far as being a Christian goes, you never knew Jesus Christ. That's what makes you a Christian. You had a head knowledge, but you weren't born again. " - shinyblurry
If he'll claim that about my personal spiritual journey to me in writing, then you can bet your last dollar that he'll claim that about Matt Dillahunty. Bullshit hasn't deterred him in the past.

If you never knew would it ever bother you? <img class="smiley" src="http://cdn.videosift.com/cdm/emoticon/wink.gif">
I hear you despite my provocative question. I was talking to a friend recently about the women she finds attractive, and I actually asked the question - would you date a woman who was previously a guy? Flat-out "No way!" was the answer, and the speed with which it was uttered took me by surprise. I pondered the question in my own time and came to a similar conclusion - I don't think I'd be comfortable dating a woman who was previously male. My only reassurance at the guilt I felt when I came to that conclusion was that what I don't know won't hurt me.
There are certain large things in relationships that are deal breakers. Lying about this would be one of them. WHEN it got out -and it would get out- the gentleman involved would be in a far better position to answer the questions others would put to him, even if it was a polite "fuck-you-very-much".
...and yes, it would be his right to know. Just like anything else that would be embarrassing should it become public knowledge. You can stamp your feet and say how it SHOULDN'T be, but as of right now it is.

I know it's the caveman part of me, but I just couldn't accept her. Nothing to do with religion. Almost nothing to do with insecurities. Just something that smacks me in the back of the head, "NO." Friends, sure. Married a friend/family member? Whatever to each their own. Intimate relationship? Nope. It's not her, it's me.
