Nika uses Esper Hand. By Esper Bionics
Make sure it's the one that also shoots lightning, the only way to make it better is to put tits on it and set it on fire. (according to Yahtzee at least)
I'm on pre-order for the one that shoots ninja stars. I'm waiting until it ships to cut my arm off.
Exciting Crokinole World Championship
Euchre (huge in Ontario), cribbage, beer, asshole, rummoli, beer, yahtzee, bridge, beer, curling, crokinole, beer.

We love them all
it's kind of cool; I take it this is a Canadian passtime; if you're a Canadian, do you guys play Euchre up there? I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan originally and that was huge there; snowmobiling and hockey too, but not much on the curling
The Early Days of id Software
just posted this Yahtzee review for those who've had the pleasure of never playing Daikatana...

Zero Punctuation - Star Wars Battlefront
He's not wrong, but he also missed a lot of stuff.
Maybe I just got older, but the Yahtzee reviews just seem to be getting more crumudgeoney.
Zero Punctuation - Fallout 4
I love Elder Scrolls (back to Morrowind), and thought Fallout 3 was very good but not great, but I just cannot get into Fallout 4 at all.
Some of my reasons coincide with Yahtzee here, but a lot are different. It's clunky, the dog does a great job of heroically jumping in my line of fire to take bullets / melee blows for enemies that I am trying to fight, pathfinding is significantly worse than Skyrim (and it was rather poor there), the crafting seems WAY too obsessed with needing 1 or 2 "rare" bits like the screws mentioned in the video that should be in *everything*, etc. etc.
The city building as an upgrade to Hearthfires in Skyrim is pretty cool, but should be a back-burner *optional* thing that encourages you to check it out because it gives cool rewards rather than because the very first set of hobos that you run into want you to do everything for them.
...Take all of that with a grain or three of salt, because I only played for a few days before I got thoroughly annoyed with it and haven't been back since. Skyrim gets new mods that add fun content or make it look *way* better than Fallout 4 does all the time. And I like the setting and lore better, but that is a personal preference. But basically, even after playing through the main story and all of the factions many multiple times each, I still periodically find myself getting interested in another run through Skyrim with a new set of mods. Fallout 4 might get good once the community gets hold of the creation kit for it, but for now I have zero interest in even giving it a more thorough shot to catch my attention.
Zero Punctuation - Fallout 4
Completely agree with Yahtzee. Never liked Bethesda RPGs and have no idea why they're so popular. Witcher 3, now that's a great game.
DOOM - E3 2015 Gameplay Trailer
Ahh yes, painkiller.. the game with a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning... that could only be more awesome if had tits and was on fire!!
thanks, Yahtzee!
Agree about the atmosphere but I think Serious Sam was more fun for me anyway.
I think Painkiller actually followed in Doom's footsteps more closely in terms of atmosphere. And there was no shortage of things to shoot at in Painkiller either.
That said, I doubt I'll ever forget the first time I heard the distant screams of headless bombers.
Zero Punctuation: FTL: Faster Than Light - Exploding Spacesh
Well, as Yahtzee had fun using several titles in the review, and the input field cut the text right there, I thought it would be fun to keep the title just like that.
Spacesh?
Hugh Herr: The new bionics that let us run, climb and dance
That is a valid concern, and it's very difficult to address.

Certainly, bionics for injury victims should be made available through your health system. I'd agree with the speaker here when he says that is a human right.
But voluntary augmentation is a much harder sell. On one hand, the situation you describe (where we have an augmented "caste" and a baseline caste) is certainly undesirable. But equally, it's not really practicable to fund everyone for every augmentation they want.
Tricky question.
Although as Yahtzee says "if there's a conflict between people who have ocean liner pistons for forearms and people who insist that everyone be as shit as they, I know which side I'm on!"
I'm not worried about a loss of humanity or w/e - Are amputees somehow less human because they use a prosthesis? I don't think so.
I'd be more worried about a divide forming between those that can afford to enhance themselves, be it through implants or some sort of genetic modification, and those can't. One would hope that this technology would improve the lives of all humanity and not create a society with a rigid hierarchy with almost no social mobility.
Zero Punctuation: Grand Theft Auto 5
You both watched a Yahtzee review and expected him to do something other then shit all over your precious game?
Zero Punctuation: Grand Theft Auto 5
It's official. Yahtzee is 100% troll.
This game is nothing short of amazing. It's graphically impressive (not as much as The Last of Us for example, but one has to consider the scale and freedom of one and the other), there's tons to do and see, and the gameplay is pretty fun. Yes the characters are all terrible people, but that's all part of the charm. Even the shrink is an asshole. Walter White was an awful person and Breaking Bad was still amazing.
Zero Punctuation: Saints Row IV
Saint's Row 2 was Yahtzee's Game of the Year in 2008. He doesn't seem to like it much now. It's still one of my favourite games ever.
Zero Punctuation: The Last of Us
Great game. There were way too many unexpected plot directions for this to be considered predictable. Two of the things Yahtzee criticizes in this review (the psychotic nature of every faction in the game and the "I got mine" selfish ending) were directly related. In the end, SPOILER ALERT the inhabitants of this psychotic shoot-first world were not worth saving, or at least not worthy of Ellie's sacrifice, and the fact that Joel lies to her so she can't even consider making that sacrifice was a nice cherry on top. It was a gutsy, thought provoking ending. How often do video game plots make you ponder bigger questions?
Negative reviews are Yahtzee's schtick. If he started making positive reviews, no one would watch them.
Zero Punctuation: The Last of Us
What an amazing game. Shame about this review. Between the game and the video, I think Yahtzee's take on it is by far more bland and predictable. <3
Zero Punctuation: The Last of Us
Yahtzee falls into the same trap a lot of people seem to be falling into, being completely ignorant of how people act when society crumbles. He judges everyone and everything in this game for how they act, like murdering desperate fuckholes, when everythings gone to hell. Why not do some research, read about what happens during a genocide or a warzone. Maybe he thinks that like people are taught in school that WW2 bombed out London was the citizens finest hour where they all pulled together, when in actuality it was swarming with criminals and yes murder.
I can understand the judgments of this game being predictable, it really is but that didn't bother me. What bothers me is people not thinking about what they would be prepared to do if the chips were down. When you're being attacked from all sides you put the biggest bastard psychopath in charge if he can get you out of it. If it's just you, YOU become that psychopath bastard. It's why Joel was still alive in that world for 20 years, how do people think you survive in such a world?
