Yeah, that doesn't sound like weed. No doubt, edibles can be powerful and I've definitely eaten some high doses that resulted in near inability to move & audio hallucinations/distortions. But, this sounds like he went through what they call ego-death, which is reliably found in moderate to high doses of psychedelics - "geometries from other Universes", in the void remembering that you had only dreamed that you were a human alongside extreme time dilation that feel infinite or like an eternity - are dead giveaways (pardon the pun). DMT is the best, of course. Get's one there in seconds and back in 10 minutes... instead of hours and hours....

Really the weevils seem like much less of a problem than the weed they're helping to control. Not all introduced species go as badly wrong as nutria or cane toads (both of which would have benefited from some small scale studies in areas they couldn't escape).

I hope this goes better than the introduction of nutria, which Texas did to combat other invasive water weeds. They are now a major problem, causing massive erosion problems and displacing naive species. It makes me wonder what problems these weevils are going to cause in 10 years....how many native plants will they eat to extinction?

Erm... How would making alcohol illegal help, exactly? Amateurs making alcohol are much more dangerous than amateurs growing weed. The stuff can poison you or leave you blind.

It's such a simple problem there is no "best" answer. But it would be very effective at weeding out people who know nothing about coding.

It's really not a question about optimization as writing things out to the console will probably be your biggest bottleneck (literally 10,000 times slower than the rest of the loop).

I don't really hold with the programming problem interview test thing. It's like interviewing for a writer and having them take a spelling test. At best, it will weed out people who really shouldn't have made it that far in the interview process to begin with. I think you get more by just having a friendly conversation about programming topics. Since you'd only have a test like this for an entry level position anyways, it should really just be taken as granted that they don't have much if any real-world programming skill and what's actually important is how quickly and effectively they will develop those skills when in a position to do so (along with all the usual personality "fit" stuff).

She also, as a minor, refused to give her parents contact info, another reason to arrest and positively identify her to be sure she's not a runaway.

I would love to see stats comparing home fires where the owner was intoxicated on weed vs fires where they were intoxicated on alcohol. I have no idea what those stats would show, but they would be interesting.
