Maga Loyalist Endorses Donald Trump

newtboy says...

President Joe Biden doesn’t have to meet HIS probation officer today…how about 34 time convicted felon Don Trump?

Does he meet with the person who will control his movements and actions for the foreseeable future today? Yes. Then how could he be seen as the leader when he is himself being led? He cannot.

Can he still travel to foreign countries? No. Then how could he possibly represent us internationally. He cannot.

Can a convicted felon be in the military? No. Then how can one lead it? They cannot.

Can a felony convict own a firearm? No. Then how can they command our armed forces? They cannot.

After ALL the constant fraud found in both his business and his personal affairs, how could he ever be trusted by either our allies or enemies, could he negotiate a treaty when he cannot be trusted at all? No. He cannot.

With open cases and overdue judgements in multiple foreign countries, how could we believe he won’t be arrested and taken to a foreign prison where our president will be essentially a legal hostage, giving the country insane leverage over the USA? We cannot.

Typically, in LV he went after President Biden for using a teleprompter (something he rarely does) then lost his mind because his own teleprompters weren’t working (when you never pay your workers, you don’t get the best) and went off on a rambling, disjointed, zero point stream of consciousness babble after telling the crowd of working people that he was going to stiff the AV company that set up this rally, then told his stupid lie about electric boats and sharks (it’s 100% clear he never asked anyone about electrocution vs shark bite, not that it’s an intelligent question to start with, because anyone not brain dead would have said “sharks will avoid the area if there’s any electricity in the water at all, even a 9 volt battery, it’s a non issue…”sir”.”). I assume he followed that by reading “the snake” for the hundredth time.

The debate won’t have teleprompters, guaranteed he is going to back out and make up some excuse that blames President Joe Biden for the convicts cowardice. Hide and watch.

Your worship of a criminal con man and rapist makes you ignore literally everything to support your cult leader. We know you would rather vote for a failed and disgraced rapist and criminal dozens of times over, felon donjon, than squeaky clean nation saving and economy building President Joe Biden.
That would be true if the felon was now raping 7 year old boys daily and tossing their used up bodies out of a 10th story window into a pile, then pissing on them as he waves to the cameras, because in your feeble mind nothing he does is wrong, and anything wrong he does instantly becomes right.
Can you even recall what your morals were before convicted felon Trump?

That’s called being brainwashed and a cultist. Another bit of reality you deny, just like the rest of it.

Voltes V: Legacy: The world is under attack | MEGA TRAILER

cloudballoon says...

FYI: The "5 vehicles combine into a giant robot" concept was a very popular cartoon concept in Japanese animes WELL BEFORE Voltron. The later ones got even more than 5 members, went up to 15 and was the most outrageous of the concept (adapted into the latter Vechicle Team Voltron in Western media) iirc .

Voltes V was first aired in '77. While the original Lions Voltron came out years LATER in the mid-'80s. So can't claim plagiarism.

This is properly licensed (by TOEI Japan) trailer made by a Philippines studio, so it's legitimate and not fan-made.

"Voltes V" ws the immediate followup of "Combattler V"

I grew up with these cartoons in their original Japanese version but dubbed into Cantonese while I was in Hong Kong.

Some Wikis of the Japanese animes:

This is pure plagiarism of Voltron.

Perhaps the weakest link in the US electrical system

spawnflagger says...

this guy covers interesting topics, but is really longwinded. I wish someone would make a "digest" version of his videos... I bet this 25 minutes video could be cut into 5 minutes.

also for near the end (not sure which prior video he was defending) - it's not the voltage that kills, it's the current. And is why GFCI trips on a few mA.

UK and EU also have power strips, but 220+ Volt systems need half the current to get same power, so overloading those wires is less likely.

I've seen a UK power strip that failed and actually shorted hot to ground/earth (fuse didn't help), and a TV was plugged into it, so energized the satellite TV coax cable's ground, which fried the expensive distribution equipment in the wiring closet (which must not have been properly grounded either).

They need better proofreading/editing.

It is Chevy BOLT, not Volt. The Volt is a plug-in hybrid with an ICE range-extender, not a pure BEV.

7 Discoveries Scientists Made by Licking Things

BSR says...

Oh come on! Who here hasn't discovered things by licking. Case in point, a 9 volt battery.

Scientists think they're so special. Pft.

Dangers of Using Electronics in Bathroom

noims says...

Can confirm. A cm or so of insulation on live and neutral pins on plugs here in Ireland (and UK) have definitely saved me and probably my toddler from shocks / death / learning experiences.

I can tell you it was a little alarming seeing how he unplugs stuff. It's hard not to give into the temptation of a few hundred volts of rigged 'I told you so', but no one wants him living like Medhi here.

3 Simple Life Hacks

BSR says...

You can magnetize a much bigger screwdriver with way less wraps of wire and way quicker. Use a little thicker wire and just one layer covering about 3 inches near the tip of the screwdriver. Then just quickly spark the wire ends on a 12 volt car battery and you'll have a very strong magnetized tip.

STAR TREK BEYOND Official Trailer #2 (2016)

FlowersInHisHair says...

First Contact has three unforgivable flaws.

1. The time travel plot makes zero sense. Why do the Borg need to go back to that particular time to assimilate humanity? Why don't they go back to pre-WW3, where there were a) more humans to assimilate and b) lower tech weapons? Why do they need to interrupt the moment of humanity's first contact with the Vulcans? Why do they give themselves such a tiny margin of error by only giving themselves a few days to assimilate Earth before the deadline? Why don't they send Borg down to begin assimilating humanity straight away? And the Enterprise conceals itself from the Vulcans by hiding behind the fucking moon.

2. The writers fundamentally ruin the idea of the Borg by giving it a figurehead it doesn't need. They are not a collective if they have a Queen; they are subjects.

3. Worst of all, Picard's characterisation is a complete volte face. Seven seasons of the TV show proved that Picard just isn't a man who stoops to revenge. Only a year or so after recovering from his own assimilation, Picard has the chance to cripple or destroy the Borg forever and he doesn't take it, because he's a man of balance and pragmatism, not of blind rage. His sudden change into Captain Ahab is lazy and it's unearned. Picard, like everything else in the film, is dumbed-down for the sake of the action, and the character as written undermines the work done over the course of the TV series, amputates him from Roddenberry, and is frankly unworthy of being performed by Patrick Stewart.

Star Trek: First Contact is fucking dumb.

Of course I have to concede to subjectivity and some of the action is very exciting (if still stupid; the "no firing at the deflector dish oh except when you do" incident is a prime example). But it's only possible to enjoy it as an action movie if you like your action movies to appeal to the very lowest common denominator.

I don't think it's fair to say that First Contact was as dumb as you say it was.

Smarter Every Day: Turning Gravity into Light

MilkmanDan says...

Nice idea, although LEDs have an extremely low power draw. Not sure if the gravity plus gearing would generate enough watts for the Pi.

USB is 5 volts at usually under 1 amp (.5 amps for USB 2 and .9 for USB 3). So I think that suggests about a 2.5-5 watt draw for USB, although I could be wrong -- long time since I took any EE classes. With very quick googling, I'm not getting a concrete number on the wattage of the (single?) LED in the Gravity Light, but one result suggested in the milliWatt range (60-80mW). Same post says that a cheap hand crank generates about 1 watt with vigorous cranking that will wear out your arm/hand quickly.

So, I'm thinking that 2.5-5 watts would require a much more heavy-duty and less portable gravity-fed system. Very much doable (bicycle pedaling can generate 50 watts fairly easily), but probably only with more bulk than what can power LED lighting.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Standardized Testing

bobknight33 says...

These tests have been very corrosive for my son ( 4th grade). He has broken down time and time again , thrown-up and and all manner of anxiety for the EOG ( End of grade tests). Most of this is from math, which there is not even a book that they use. This even sickens me.

All based on common core -- my state, NC is close of abolishing it and hope it does.

My daughter is less effected by these but the EOG also gets to her.

Jeb Bush is all in for Common Core and for this I would never volt for this man.

( I would not vote for him for any other reason also.. Don't need another Bush/ or Clinton in the WH)
