Demonstrating Quantum Supremacy
That would be great, but I would gladly settle for cheap travel to the moon on a pair of space elevators.
Strapping wings onto my arms and being able to fly like a bird in underground chambers always sounded like fun to me.
I want technology that will allow 1G of acceleration constantly for about 3 days. That's all you need to get to Mars.
Spring Break in an electric dunebuggy on Olympic Mons.
Damn straight.
How Nestle Makes Billions Bottling Free Water
Hate to be that guy again, but I can't help myself.
So, the accusation is that extracting underground water in high enough volume has ruined the water levels in the rivers. The video however, presents multiple anecdotes from locals as 'evidence'. Including even pointing at a high water mark by a bridge/culvert. You know, in a creek that rises and falls heavily between spring melt and fall.
The lack of any meaningful evidence really skews me to classing this as propaganda over documentary. No effort what so ever was made to prove the allegation that Nestle's operations are influencing creek/river water flow.
I QUIT MY JOB to draw STAR WARS for 450 HOURS!
I used to draw an underground ant colony as a teen(ager) like this with regular pencils.
Why South Park Apologized – Wisecrack
For newts, even the .1% will go down before the rest of the world.
When I moved here, N California, I would see newts and frogs constantly, even a >1' long giant tiger salamander in my greenhouse. Now, 19 years later, I still see some frogs, but no newts or salamanders....hardly even any banana slugs.
I always figured I could just go full Morlock and live a nice cannibalistic lifestyle underground if I survive civilization's death throws.....but I'm probably old and soft enough that I won't.
Well, look at the brightside.
If you're not part of the 1% you'll perish along with the rest of the world.
If you are part of the 1% you will be living in the hell you've created until you decide to put a ray gun to your head.
What do think all those Twilight Zone shows were about?

6.8 Earthquake Simulated by Underground Nuclear Explosion!
The earthquake wasn't simulated... it was real. Maybe the title could say "Underground nuclear test registers 6.8 on richer scale".
Vox's The Goods: How IKEA gets you to impulsively buy more!
Looks like underground ant tunnels to me.
How Trees Secretly Talk to Each Other in the Forest | Nation
Ok, but you'll have to do all the
"underground" stuff, if you get my meaning.
Let's hack it!
Meet The Trump Fans Of Q-Anon
This is the paradox of modern politics.
These people are fucking morons of the highest order. They're poorly educated idiots spouting complete nonsense that has zero basis in reality.
In a sane world, we'd ignore them as lunatic outliers. They're not new; they've been here forever, they just change the nonsense.
The problem is that we now live in a world where the most powerful man in the world actively encourages these people, if not explicitly, then at least implicitly with his own brand of deranged paranoia.
The fundamental issue is that internet is great at connecting people, and it doesn't discriminate between connecting Bronies, small-town homosexuals, fans of William Shatner's music, political dissidents in oppressed countries or people who indulge in insane conspiracy theories.
There's no putting that technological genie back in the bottle (and even if we could, the cost would be too great IMO).
So what to do about that?
If we ignore them, they thrive underground and if we give them "airtime" their ranks are bolstered.
I really don't have an answer for this.

Jim Jefferies - Jordan Peterson on Free Speech
I agree people should be able to say what they want, but there should also be consequences
shouting over them doesn't help because it legitimizes them somewhat and also forces them underground; I'd prefer the mofos are out in the open so they can be hunted down
it's funny how pieces of crap like tucker coopts him to prove a point that he wasn't even trying to make
Subway musicians sound exactly like Lennon and McCartney
Wow! I wonder if McCartney himself would be able to tell the difference.
Such a nice positive sound to hear underground too. I can't stand the whinging Cold Play crap in public lol.
What is Water Hammer?
I'm disappointed he didn't mention fracking, since I'm fairly sure this is essentially the method used to pulverize rocks deep underground.
The Untold History of EA's Long Pay-2-Win Love Affair
I think if you're going to have P2W - it should take place on a P2W server separate from those who are grinding the game. It's just one of the many reasons WoW isn't all that special anymore. Need a level 100 toon? Pay $30, get one instantly, on any sever ya like, you know with the people who put in 1000 hours of their real life.
I don't really care about loot boxes as long as they are cosmetic. In HOTS or Overwatch it's just like an added bonus, even though most of it is trash. Though, having loot boxes in HOTS is a little different than Overwatch which was an overrated/overpriced $60 game while HOTS (also made by Blizzard) is actually free to fucking play and even then I have most of the toons and never spent a cent and get plenty of loot boxes for free as well.
Keep this shit up though and the underground/indie devs are going to take over the gaming industry. Just like what happened with music, MTV not playing real music, the radio playing the same shit over and over again, major labels putting out garbage over and over again... and it eventually broke the mainstream music industry (thank fucking god).
