Top Five Times Fox News Is Debunked "On Air" by a Guest

That's why it's so great to adhere to science. Science is just the combined efforts of anyone who is inclined to understand stuff better. It looks at things and with a lack of bias only the mathematical can provide says what the likelihood of something is.

It's how the facts are then "spun" where the bullshit creeps in.

We've known for years that burning fossil fuels is bad for the environment, it's not even in question any more. We know it's bad but we keep doing it. We have the money to change it but it sits in the corporate sector bank accounts because a few would rather be richer than creosote for the duration of their life than to spread richness upon the world for the lives of those to follow.

Those to follow are me, you, your kids perhaps.

("Creosote" is a pun that my grandma uses - 93 years old - and i've seen Terry Pratchett use it as well. Creosus was very rich, creosote is a rich black tarry substance)

It is sadly the way of things. Terry Pratchett has Alzheimer's, Iain Banks died of cancer and yet no-one has pushed Stephanie Meyer under a bus.

Such is life....

"Only a mile away from the shepherd and his flock was a goatherd and his herd. The merest accident of microgeography had meant that the first man to hear the voice of Om, and who gave Om his view of humans, was a shepherd and not a goatherd. They have quite different ways of looking at the world, and the whole of history might have been different.
For sheep are stupid, and have to be driven. But goats are intelligent, and need to be led."
-- Terry Pratchett
For once, shiny, we are in total agreement.

Shocking Police Behaviour OccupyMELBOURNE!

dannym3141 says...

This reminds me very strongly of a Terry Pratchett book - night watch. In it, there's a huge rebellion in Ankh Morpork (major, capital city). The 'police' are used to try and control the people - so to stop the police being aggressive and violent, the people get the relatives of all the police to come and look their sons, daughters, nephews and neices in the eye and make them feel ashamed.

Pretty hard for a sadistic, psychotic cunt to enjoy strangling a stranger when their grandma is looking on and saying "what are you doing to that woman, robert?"

Shocking: Portal 2 Offensive to Adopted Children

OH FFS. Just let it go. It is one of the most well-written games in quite some time. Should we ban Cinderella? She was adopted and it was a nightmare. Grow some fucking skin and enough with the fake fucking outrage over NOTHING.

most of the doilog makes the game feel like some wana-be pixar film .

Steve merchants voice is one of the most damaging things to the game and the exsperance. I guess if your american you will perceive his voice differently but at a minimum they could have put a bit of distortion on it so it didn't sound like a voice actor in your ear for half the game allso they should have made is speaking far less formulaic ( granted how he talks in this is all he is capable of as an actor)

As for Steve merchants lines in terms of writing to me it felt like I had some kids nurator from some cheep kids cg film following me around , when you have a character like that you really need the writing to be done by monty python , duglus adems or maybe terry Pratchett.

The glados character however is good and most of her lines are decent and fit the game well.

As for this whole adopted news story its just retarded the news anchers and tv produces should just be em brassed by how pore there reporting is.
