Elon is being praised by Putin for cutting Ukrainian communications during a military operation.
SpaceX may lose their government contracts because Elon has made his companies unreliable, proven when he cut Ukraine communications and killed Ukrainians by doing so.
Twitter/X is going down hard.
Teslas in flooded areas are bursting into flames at reported rates much higher than other EVs.
Another MAGA hero turns out to be a narcissistic failure.

Bonus - According to Romney, who is not a liar, Trump would have been convicted of his second impeachment but MAGA senators convinced Republican senators that voting to convict would put their and their family’s lives at risk from his terroristic cultists (like you) and they changed their votes out of fear.

Sydney Powell tried to get her charges dismissed by admitting to all the crimes she’s accused of but claiming that her coconspirators authorized her to go in after hours and tamper with voting machines and copy voting records using third party companies (owned by her co-conspirators).
Not a good defense to admit to the charges, but say “my friend the bank teller gave me permission to rob the bank, even gave me a key to come in after hours. Sure, I robed it, took every dollar, but I had authorization to do it, can’t charge me!”. It’s not going to work out for her…or the rest.
Remember, thanks to RICO, if one is found guilty, they all are. Powell just admitted guilt in her filing…with a nonsense excuse attached. 😂

Why Saudi Arabia Keeps Announcing New 'Gigaprojects'

cloudballoon says...

Subsidy for the tech sectors. Elon Musk should brand Tesla, SpaceX and his other comanies as a "Government Funded Entities" on Twitter.

The United States has always been a Socialist country supporting the ultra rich.

Just a few years ago California had a surplus of $100 billion! Last year it was $50 billion. Where are our giga-projects!?

You understand the underlying reason exactly, as alluded by Branson.

If there's real justice, SpaceX, Twitter, Tesla should be branded "Government funded Media/Company" according to Elon's own logic.

Virgin’s failure was it didn’t get $3 billion from NASA.

The sad crime is that Virgin Orbit has to be lay off 85% of staff due to its "failure" while SpaceX's "failure" is deemed a "MASSIVE SUCCESS!" It's BS.

He paid back one near $500 million loan early, but not the billions in subsidies that made Tesla and Elon’s other companies possible….but continues to argue that others should not get the benefit of the same helping government hands he used to become a billionaire.

If memory serves me correct that was back a decade ago and they paid it back. FYI Ford and or GM also took the cheese , about 11 billion.. They did not pay it back.

Hand out are wrong --- Just like the Inflation deduction act -- Just gov cheese buying votes / keeping .. Also it does not reduce inflation - opposite

SpinLaunch Engineering Doc - Throwing Satellites into Space?

spawnflagger says...

I would like to see this succeed, and after seeing this video I have a bit more optimism, but it's still a lot of hurdles to overcome. And if they have an accident (release timing error > 1ms), will do major damage to their launch chamber, probably taking months of repairs to recover from. Whereas SpaceX is almost proud of their rocket failures...

I was pessimistic a few months back, after seeing Thunderfoot's "busted" videos about Spinlaunch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ziGI0i9VbE ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibSJ_yy96iE ; but his analysis is much more "armchair" whereas Brian was actually there on-site and has more (previously unpublished) information.

Scott Manley also did a video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAczd3mt3X0&t=4s
but it's more of a "how it works" and has a lot of overlap of info with the above Real Engineering video.

Ameca and the most realistic AI robots. Beyond Atlas.

spawnflagger says...

I agree with newtboy - Elon has a lot of bad ideas. (most of which are debunked with high school physics - see the many Thunderf00t videos). But there's a lot of smart people working at Tesla and SpaceX who are actually doing a bulk of the work & innovation.

But, this video isn't about Musk, it's about Robots and AI. Many more examples and companies than just Tesla-bot.

Don't worry though, humanity will be 'saved' from the robots by a large coronal mass ejection event that fries the grid and most computers on Earth.

SpaceX takes jab at Russia's 'brooms' comment

BSR says...

SpaceX launched its Falcon 9 with 48 Starlink satellites aboard to low Earth orbit Wednesday. During the countdown, a SpaceX controller during a satellite launch said "Time to let the American broomstick fly and hear the sound of freedom," in a jab at Russia.

The comment was in reference to a recent statement by the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, who claimed that a ban on Russian exports of rocket engines would force the U.S. to rely on "brooms" to get to space.

Starlink is a space-based system that SpaceX has been building for years to bring internet access to underserved areas of the world.
