WEF speaker shakes the establishment

newtboy says...

Trump is a wannabe elite trying to buy his way into elite society but he’s not one of them. He’s poorly bred, crass, rude, oafish, witless, loudly vacuous, and boorish….in short he is Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack) without the business acumen.

Trump and all Republicans proved the exact opposite of what this guy said…when in control they worked hard for the elites and against the interests of the middle and lower class. They forgave PPP loans to millionaire business owners then claimed it’s impossible and unAmerican to do the same for student debt for the poor.

The fact that much of this is quick cuts spliced together mean even he doesn’t believe what this video presents as his statements. 😂

Florida DUI suspect arrested after threatening deputies PT1

newtboy says...

Another idiot knowingly making death threats on camera. The guy in the post got a $79 K bail….the guy in this video got a $1 million bail, but he actually attacked his victim.

I kind of hope he dies in jail awaiting trial. The only safe thing for society.

A reminder…there’s well over 1000….

151 NV Governor Jim Gibbons - accused of assaulting a woman, settled a civil suit

152 PA GOP Congressman Don Sherwood - not for having an affair, but for assaulting and choking the woman he had an affair with

153 Republican Judge Mark Fuller - domestic violence

154 GOP Rep Trent Franks - harassment of his office staff - to serve as a surrogate for him and his wife, this makes me feel sad, actually

155 GOP Congressional aide Matthew Pennell - child molesting plea deal to 2 or 17 charges

156 GOP Presidential candidate Herman Cain - sexual harassment

157 Tennessee GOP state rep Scott DesJarlais - OK, these are consensual affairs, but with PATIENTS!!!!

158 GOP Rep John Schmitz - John Birch Society member had two families (one he did not support) - and obviously there was some sickness going on because one of his daughters is Mary Kay LeTourneau the child-raping teacher.

159 California GOP Rep Ernie Konnyu - sexual harassment

160 Styles Bridges - R-MA - This man was filth. He extorted Dem Sen Hunt of WY that he would reveal his son’s homosexuality unless Hunt resigned so the R’s could get his seat. Hunt refused, but then killed himself. This headline is from a citizen’s jury, not a real one

161 Joe McCarthy, R-WI, started the Lavender Scare, a purge of gays from government. Many other Republicans joined in. Technically not a crime, but surely an immoral act

162 Pastor Roy D. Bolden, Providence RI GOP Chair child molestation and sexual assault

163 Ron P Broussard, Jr of TRUMP UNIVERSITY - sex with 8-year-old

164 Republican state senate candidate Sherman Lee Criner - molesting a 6-year-old girl. Prosecutors used an unusual standard of enough evidence to convict rather than probable cause, possibly because he is a popular lawyer. NOT CLEARED, just not indicted

165 Wenatchee Republican Michael T McCourt molested children for 30 years behind a civic front as a utilities commissioner, political operative and community volunteer, Then asked judge for leniency because of all his community activism

166 Unsuccessful Republican candidate William C Mach - child molestation. Ironically, he ran on a campaign to fight child molestation and was endorsed by related organizations

Dn61JpVUUAAh619.jpg-large.jpeg
167 Republican Sheriff Perry Grogan continued to campaign despite indictment for child molestation, probably because of disgraceful coverage like this in the screenshot. He was convicted.

Dn65azvV4AEabLA.jpg-large.jpeg
168 Republican campaign consultant and Baptist pastor Kenneth Adkins - child molestation. By the way, he said Pulse victims got what they deserved. So should he.

169 GOP candidate for OH legislature James E. Dutschke = child molestation, also investigated for ricin letters to Obama

170 Brian O'Toole, Republican Sunnyvale mayor convicted of child molestation. See screenshot as the newspaper is on NewsBank, accessible with some library cards, but not for everyone.

Dn69oLGUwAEfpET.jpg
171 Last month Indianapolis Republican City Councilman Jeff Miller resigned/plea deal for child molestion

172 While Douglas Marks was a teacher, he was probably able to abuse two generations of children because of his wealthy Republican family. His brother was Speaker of the House.

173 Vermont Republican state senator Norman McAllister who's one of the Legislature's most outspoken conservatives charged with sexual assault, human trafficking, and prohibited acts. Made a plea deal

174 SC Rep Chris Corley - domestic violence

175 Gordon Blake, a CA political activist who twice ran unsuccessfully for the GOP nomination to the state legislature - child molesting, sentenced to 194 years.

5 Crises Republicans Made up to Distract You

newtboy says...

You’ve got to be kidding.
Pointing out fake manufactured crises (that are invariably rooted in xenophobic hatred) and educating is the same thing as manufacturing a fake crisis? 🤦‍♂️

Please point to 5 major manufactured crises the left is trying to play off right now…how about 5 the party has floated in let’s say the last 5 years, since you are attempting to “both sides” the issue.

Reminding your base how unserious and infantile the “other” is is perfectly reasonable when there’s no choice but to deal with the dishonest infants making up fake crises chock full of lies daily. Debunking idiotic nonsense is a public service.
Reminding people that, like in the case of “woke”, the right has decided that “being aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)” is the worst thing possible and have intentionally with malice and forethought abused the term to improperly equate it with anything they irrationally hate, which itself is a racist action….that’s a good thing, a positive for society.

Again, since you are both siding this issue, put up or shut up….please list 5 fake crises the left floated to distract from actual crises in the last 5 years, should be a no brainer, right? (Accusations that end in convictions don’t count, those aren’t fake)

It’s really more like the house is on fire, the guy in the red shirt holding a lit flare with singed clothes and eyebrows says throw this gasoline on it, the guy in the blue shirt is trying to offer a hose but the guy in the red shirt is standing on it and poking holes in the hose while shouting “Don’t take that, that hose is full of fire!” You say neither put out the fire, so both are equally as useless. 🤦‍♂️

Republicans are simply not interested in feasible solutions, Democrats are (with a very few notable exceptions, most of whom switched parties like Kristen Senema or Tricia Cotham, or are utterly despised and should be tossed out of the party like Manchin).

The Republican Party platform in the last presidential election simply didn’t exist, they had NONE AT ALL. Verbally it was nothing but “we hate the left unconditionally”, literally, in writing they had nada, nothing, zip.
Conversely, the left actually has consistently had a written public party platform with positive goals for the nation and a roadmap to reach them.

bcglorf said:

I feel like this video is deeply guilty of being exactly what it is warning against. The criticisms are all inarguably valid, but as much as the GOP is particularly egregious right now, they aren't the only ones using cheap distractions.

More importantly, the video itself is very much MSNBC's favorite brand of the exact same distract your base approach. The video itself is focused on how wrong the GOP is for focusing on these none issues. It's still lasering focus on the non-issues.

Reminding your base why you need to hate and fear the 'other' is the bread and butter distraction approach both FOX and MSNBC are using to poison the nation. BOTH of them are happily embracing the narratives on fake crises and attempting to ensure attention is dominated by them. When one side picks up a new outrage for their base to focus on, the other side happily joins in to be outraged by the outrage.

Let's pretend your house is on fire. Your friend with a red shirt thinks you should throw gas on it, and your blue shirt friend points out that diesel is better because it's less flammable. This video is a guy explaining at length why tossing gas on is a bad idea, and don't listen to red shirt guy. It's a waste of time to entertain either of them though, what you really need to do is find people willing to help fight the fire. 99% of politicians(red or blue) are not your allies here.

LA Deputy Gangs Investigated

moonsammy says...

It should not be legal for law enforcement to establish unions, and I'm pro-union. The police are the arm of governmental power, and policing in the US in general can be traced back to union-busting efforts.

If police unions had a history of fighting for issues that benefit society overall my view would likely be different, but they always seem to focus on eliminating accountability and supporting evil assholes.

Man Rips Up His Cash Over Seat Belt Ticket

newtboy says...

Perhaps not, but we don’t live in a free society, nor a responsibility free society.

The effects are not low. The difference in cost of a serious car crash with and without seatbelts is in the hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.

Again, because you can be “at fault” through no fault of your own, and responsible for all injuries the other driver suffers, it’s not just smart but the only responsible move to be forced to wear them and minimize the shared risk.
It’s 100% unfair for the other driver to be allowed to take the high risk of not wearing it but you have to pay for the consequences of their irresponsibility….don’t you think?
The difference here as opposed to, say, obesity is the risk/consequences of the irresponsibly transfer to others regularly and often completely (at least financially).

If not wearing it was an automatic waiver for any and all bodily injury damages, fine, but it isn’t so being forced to wear it is the only sane and rational move. Because that choice can turn a no damage bump into injuries requiring life long care

There is shared risk if you look deep enough in all activities that people engage in throughout their lives. Newtboy's assertion that these types of activities should be regulated because of their knock-on effects doesn't seem practical in a "free" society.

The reason I don't understand why this is a law is because the affects to society are so low and are similar to many other unregulated choices people are allowed to make. The inconsistency is painful.

Man Rips Up His Cash Over Seat Belt Ticket

visionep says...

I'm having a hard time imagining the case where wearing a seat belt is going to make you have better control of your car after a collision.

Your moral case, for wearing a seatbelt, while personally compelling, doesn't mean the government should be controlling that activity for individuals. Being selfish is usually not a crime.

Seat belts will better help keep you in control of your vehicle after a collision. If your car rolls over or you go sideways into a tree it helps keep you from back, head and neck injuries which could leave you with pain and mobility issues long after the crash. I also see it as being very selfish to your family and loved ones who potentially may have to care for you if you survive, in which case you will be very annoyed and annoying.

It should be mandated by government because some people think they are the best drivers ever.

Does any of your family members drive the disabled alarm car?

Cops Attack Another Man For Walking While Black

Republicans wants Spending Cut? Stop paying criminals in blue their legal fees. BILLIONS saved just like that. And I bet the GDP will shoot up through the roof because productive, innocent victims doesn't have to go to jail for no reasons and be a "burden" to society and deliminate modern slavery too.

Fools like you are the reason for such shitty Democrat run cities.
And the lack of morality in society.

America is worse off today than few decades ago-- The direction that Democrats are pushing is making things worse.

Democrats say they are for the black man-------- Blacks have not gotten better under Democrat policies.

Biden is incompetent -- Just watch him. People behind him are propping him up and running the country.

Horse dewormer -- See your still stupid as ever. In different doses this med is also for human consumption. But some how you yet to get the message from you fake news outlet.

Covid was made worse than it truly was by media and locking down cities and such was the wrong thing to do.

TESLA is always to good time to buy. Its stock is depressed but then again every stock is depressed-- Thanks for over government spending during Covid.

an 6 was a false flag by BLM and ANTIFA not a failed coup by Trump. ------Never said that. But there were infiltrators in proud boys pushing their agenda by FBI. All said so far to date there were 50+ government infiltrators egging people on and opening doors, helping this to occur instead of stopping it.

Ashley Babbitt was the only person to Die Jan 6 yet fake news and Democrats continue to say 5 or 6 people died. More FAKE news.

If fools like me were a dime a dozen, this world would be a MUCH better more sane place. Sadly, it’s fools like you that are easy to find and dupe with pleasing (mostly hateful) ridiculous lies. Fools like me rank and score in the 99th percentile, friendo. You don’t even know what that means.

The CUBA They Don't Want You To See

newtboy says...

So explain East Oakland or East LA, or Alabama, Appalachia, almost any reservation or religious compound.
Plenty of strife in capitalist society.

Put N Carolina under total international embargo for 50 years and tell me it’s all about communism. I would bet everything I own that Cuba, for all it’s faults, would stand head and shoulders above your state given the same economy destroying embargo.

The case to rename this famous Christmas plant

visionep says...

I don't think using the notoriously brutal and horrific Aztec society as an alternative base for naming, makes things any better. Looking into the atrocities committed by that society makes the trail of tears look like a Sunday stroll in the park.

It would be better to use the meaning of the Aztec name "flower that grows in residues or soil" or even just make up a new name like "holiday flower" if we really want to clean up the historical associations of things that we like but are uncomfortable with the historical associations.

“It’s not what you believe, but how hard you believe it.”
This is exactly the drivel that is destroying society today. It doesn’t matter how insane your ideas are, how much magical thinking and contortions of reality they require, as long as you obstinately refuse to accept that sanity, reason, and reality itself contradict you. 🤦‍♂️

Still, looks infinitely better than “Crystal Skull” (they raped my friend!)

Judge Locks Up Parkland Shooter for Life, Throws Away Key

newtboy says...

IMO, If prison is for punishment, life sentences are proper.
If prison is for rehabilitation and safety, death sentences are proper.
It’s all about what your society really wants from incarceration….not what they SAY they want.

bcglorf said:

On capital punishment I guess I am somewhat from the Canadian POV. IMO the defense for a Death sentence shouldn't lie in 'punishment' but in public protection against re-offending. If crimes are sufficiently egregious I think you can make the argument that the rights of the convicted are outweighed by the need to protect society given society may have reasonable cause for mistrust of the future actions of someone who's already committed something particularly heinous.
