An apparent case of mistaken identity in Galveston landed a man in jail for days in May after police thought the innocent patient leaving the hospital was an escaped prison inmate.
There were no escapees.
Once they realized their mistake, after releasing the dog to bite him, tackling him forcefully and violently handcuffing him, they tried to cover themselves by charging him with resisting arrest which he clearly did NOT do.
Without the non-police cam footage going public, he would be going to prison over this police abuse.
No action taken against the officers that violently attacked this 100% innocent victim of their racial bias, so it’s likely to be repeated. This will likely cost TAXPAYERS millions.
He’s black and calmly walking….must be a violent criminal, safeties off. This is the police today, a violent criminal gang, not a single one in any of these abusive events tries to stop the abuse.

Easy fix, remove qualified immunity. These abuses will end the moment the perpetrators lose their shields from any responsibility for their actions.
