I only mention the illegal status of the invading Jewish masses in the 40’s because they would deny it. I’ve heard many a person claim all Jewish people there were legal immigrants and legal refugees invited in by Palestinians, but the vast majority came after the war ended…illegally….intent on taking over the country and expelling the natives.

Coming as refugees intending to return “home” would have been fine for everyone, but they didn’t want to try that….it wouldn’t end with a Jewish state.

I’m only anti Zionist because they don’t play fair. Because they claim absolute rights to others land, heritage, water, defense, even lives, then act self righteous about their Nazi like behavior and deny any obvious parallels. I find intolerable the one sided “conflict” where rocks or fireworks are met with bullets and bombs under the excuse that “we have the right to defend ourselves”, where well under 10000 Israeli have died but over 65000 Palestinians have been killed directly not counting the millions who died of disease, malnourishment, lack of water, lack of medicine, etc. from the treatment they received from Israel.
I really dislike the situation because my country involved itself and CAUSED it….without our intervention Israel would have ceased to exist in the 50’s, and it sickens me that my country pays for a genocidal racist nation to continue to exist.

I believe the Jewish state should have been carved out of Germany. I would not complain with them returning the treatment they received from actual Nazis…it’s treating relatively innocent victims like that simply because they can that’s unconscionable.

My gripe is totally about their collective actions, not their genetics or religion. That’s the important difference between my reasoning and the right’s hatred of non white immigrants.

Anti Zionists do deny Israel’s right to exist, but (at least in my case) not one bit based on the race or religion of those who live there (now), but based 100% on how those illegal aliens took a country by force from its occupants, with our unbridled support, committed a genocide that continues today, and claims to be the victim every time a few rocks get thrown and they “have to” retaliate by destroying a few inhabited city blocks in the mass prison ghetto they have made of Palestine.

odd, that...just got through a piece that questioned the stereotype of 'ugly americans' in europe. many europeans found other europeans more objectionable (russians came up often).

have met with a LOT of people from around the world. some here and some on travels...most seemed okay w/my presence. going to put that alongside the daily news source. [might be right about those saudis that threw rocks at us...but that was a misunderstanding]

...and traveling along w/mom...spent more time in strangers' homes than museums.

Well that's weirdly coincidental you bringing up Alan Parsons. I just so happened to have been listening to my APP playlist today while running. I Robot (the song) always puts me in the zone. I agree with Jim Carrey that the standing ovation given to Will Smith was more offensive than the slap itself. Kudos to Chris Rock for taking the high road, and getting "on with the show" - shows a true professional. Glad his comedy tour tickets are selling out.

A lot of initial reports were calling this a punch, but it wasn't. It was a weak slap, I'm sure that Smith could have slapped much harder but that wasn't the point. It was still dumb. He should have just got on stage and asked Chris to apologize and hold up the show until he did. The dumbest part was Will actually laughed at the joke!

As far as DA prosecuting, you know he'd never see jail time, and for any monetary fine- he's already done to himself by negative reputation. Think of all the potential future roles he's lost in that 1 moment. Time to go buy an island and move there, cause he's now retired.

More likely, if Rock is to press charges. It'll be settled out of court. No one wants the hassle to drag this out in public (too risky for PR) and Rock & Smith probably don't want to piss off Hollywood either.

The DA however, should press charges. It's the only way to show people big shots are not above the law.
