Mexico's Magical Fireflies
I remember fireflies in PA. I used to catch them, but they all died overnight.

These kids play outside no matter how cold it gets
I remember loving the cold snow in PA back in the 80s. Cancel(l)ed school days, snow forts and balls, sleds, etc. As an old fart, I'm cold in my <70F degrees room. LOL!

MAGA Catholic Kids Mock Native Veteran's Ceremony
I work with Indigenous tribes & Indigenous activist groups throughout the west and midwest, everyday. They can be confrontational, no doubt. But, I also don't actually fault these brats. They just remind me of all of the jock ass ignorant privileged scum I grew up with in PA being confronted with something they aren't prepared for.
Not to mention the fact that we are now fully in a digital age of Google algorithms that basically give a person exactly what they are looking for and nothing else (an internet search used to be research in the 90's, siphoning through a lot of info). People are growing up in very insular bubbles; and ignorance breeds from that. One should also fault the educational system; but in a place like Kentucky, I'd imagine the social media bubble is fueling these kids' education more than their public schools are; there's always college (hopefully).
Snarky Puppy - Lingus
Also This:
"Initially the band hat contacted me way back in 2014 to produce and record their live debut album. They had a monthly residency at the well known domicil jazz club in Dortmund at the time. Titled “Filou presents…” the band hosted a show with a guest band every third Wednesday of the month, often sharing the stage altogether for one massive jam at the end of the night. The guest bands included well-known German jazz acts but often bands that push the boundaries of jazz in some way or another (Sommerplatte, Cosmo Klein, Xaver Fischer, among others). The monthly residence gave Filou the chance to experiment with unusual stage concepts. As a result, they came up with the idea to dissolve the barrier between stage and audience for the live show.
So instead of going to the studio to create a regular album, Filou wanted to create a live recording capturing all their energy and live show experience as their debut record. The concept of making the audience become part of the stage setting also sparked the idea of abandoning a PA system and providing headphones for the audience instead. It’s a very unique experience for the concert goer and obviously turned out to be a slam dunk for me to ensure the best possible audio quality without the usual PA and monitor trash in the mics
Kurzgesagt - Is Organic Food Really Better or is It a Scam?
I grew up in Amish country in PA and I know for a fact that all of those pesticides that the Amish aren't using (they use them) ended up polluting the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. General manure runoff is a problem as well.
Regardless, of organic or not - many problems crop up out here in the West in the form of water consumption. Obviously, we don't have much water to spare - but CA is always taking more and more water to grow crops that require enormous amounts of water, like avocados. One avocado takes about 18.5 gallons of water to grow - that said, an average american shower costs about as much a day if it's 8 minutes long (17.5); which I also see as a problem. Not to mention that CA also produces a shit ton of America's beef (#4). 80% of all of CA (which is like a country) water use is agricultural. I just think that CA (it might all burn to the ground anyway) needs to stop supporting the grocery needs of america (spread it out!) and stop wasting so much water that a lot of other states in the west need. It's a whole other Chinatown film that should be created to represent what is going on.

Track rebuild: Toronto Transit Commission finishes work fast
It still took 2 months - I assume they had to wait a while for the lower layer of concrete to cure, which is just a jump cut in the video.
But it's nice to see a sense of urgency by working at night and not wasting time or people.
Here in PA, every PennDOT construction site that I've ever seen has a ratio of 1 guy working to 5 guys standing around.
Stop Crapping On Me
I have a story... Back in the early 80s in PA when I was a callow, I wanted a dog. My parents and I went to a pet shelter. I found a cute small dog. We went to a tiny room with a worker and this dog. The dog decided to poop a huge long smelly solid poop on the floor. And then, I said nevermind and stuck with smaller easier managed pets like fishes, hermit crabs, etc.
