First, that it was a socialist gathering - they are useful idiots for the terrorists, but they were the party in power so maybe that was the reason.

Yes, when shamefully backtracking from your previous hate-mongering, do not forget to spit on the lives of murdered children, because them or their families were not part of the "right" political party.

You are a vile, disgusting person.

My first thought was that the explosion was the work of Muslim terrorists, and when I heard about the shooting - things didn't make sense. First, that it was a socialist gathering - they are useful idiots for the terrorists, but they were the party in power so maybe that was the reason. Second, it came out pretty early that the shooter was blond. I figured it was a retaliation - but couldn't find any timeline.
Now, everybody predictably screams that there is no Muslim threat, and the Nazi bogie man is everywhere. Which couldn't be further from the truth, and has been the dogma in Sweden, giving Muslim youths and Anarchists carte blanche to rob, vandalize, brutalize and murder citizens they don't approve of - oh and everybody else.
Everything sucks.

Do you ever get bored of being wrong? Little vulture.

The police just gave an update:

A right wing extremist placed a huge bomb in oslo outside the government hq, killing at least 7.
He then went to the governemtn partys youth camp (with 500+ teenagers), and killed atleast 80 people.
He was dressed as a cop, and tried to lure some teenagers to him claiming he had important information and then executed them. Before he went from tent to tent and hunted the rest.

So all in all there's probably over 90 killed, many of them teenagers, many of them shot infront of their friends.

Unfortunately when the news came out, there was a lot of hatred against muslims (including a friend I was gaming with, whom I tried to reason with before it was known that it was a norwegian), and people of non-norwegian descent got called some unfair names at them.
I think it's important that people focus on the tragedy, and stop trying to play the blame game. People has died, *MANY* parents have lost their teenage son/daughter today, all because of one guys strong beliefs.

Bringing more hatred to the table will not make anything better.

So far 17 dead, reports 7 in Oslo and 10 at Utøya. 1 person arrested, Nordic-looking guy with blond hair 32 years old and Norwegian in origin. He was dressed as a police man and shooting kids at the island Utøya. Police also thinks the same man was seen in Oslo near a brown van just before the bomb went off. For what its worth, I'm fine as I was nowhere near the events. Hopefully the same goes for my fellow Norwegian sifters. Take care everyone.

Good point, but stupidity and lack of education often go hand in hand, and some cultures are tailored around preying on functional societies. The point is, a proper risk evaluation wasn't done when considering immigration. Ideology above all reason. Tragic really.

Populist opponents of liberal immigration laws use foreign aid as an alibi, but even that is ruled by ideology and opportunism. Only fair trade works. (not the hippie brand - actual trade with proper wages being the rule)>> ^hpqp:

You're amalgamating two quite separate things: terrorism and crime. The latter has everything to do with lack of education (including basic civic behaviour sometimes), of money, and/or is a result of immigration with purely criminal intent (yes, that exists too). The former, however, needs only nationalistic or, in this case, religious ideology to be its fuel. Most (if not all) recent Islamist terrorists have come from middle-to-upper class families, have usually been well educated and had no "criminal gain" (i.e. $$) to be made from their actions.
>> ^Smugglarn:
You make the same mistake as the media in Sweden and Norway; labeling all immigrants and refugees as "foreigners". The problem with terrorism, crime, rape etc is fairly specific to different ethnic and religious groups of refugees: Somalis, Iraqis, Albanians etc. Not all of them, but they are dramatically over represented. I happen to know a an MP that is of Iraqi descent, but she is an atheist and I would guess from, if not upper class, then upper middle class. So that would be dominating factors, but knowing that - importing violent, uneducated fanatics?
The right wants cheap labour. The left wants votes to bring down the right. The middle and lower classes lose - including a lot of immigrants that have done nothing but being well mannered citizens of a secular democracy.
Oh, and do not think for a minute integrated immigrants feel sympathetic with the criminal element. Only left wing stooges do that - often in the media.
>> ^Yogi:
So now foreigners can't even be trusted in countries because they have bombs and they're there to blow up people? Even if it turns out to be a foreigner how the fuck do you two explain all the foreigners that day who DIDN'T blow anything up? The country is full of fucking morons and only a very select few of them post here, remember sifters there's tons of motherfuckers who actually think like this.
Also why does anything even genuine sentiment on Twitter sounds like you're being an asshole?

The "Good Muslim Wife" Joke

hpqp says...

>> ^aaronfr:

Although I applaud her for using comedy as a way to bring the truth out and challenge the status quo (which is what most good comics do), something about this clip bothered me. It had more to do with the crowd than anything. Telling jokes to a room full of stuffy, white people at a dinner party hardly seems like the way to achieve her stated goal of re-training the Islamic fundamentalists. It was more like the audience got a chance to laugh and snicker at jokes about scary Muslims they would be too afraid to tell themselves.

You should see this video then, in which she picks up a sharia law apologist (a women can't do that according to sharia... silly, I know)

I highly doubt that "stuffy white people" are her only audience, but seriously, do you think she could get away with this kind of humour in front of Islamist fundamentalists without being killed? When she says we need to reeducate the fundamentalists in Europe, she means "we" the society, including the "stuffy white people".

As for "snickering at jokes about scary Muslims", a) a non-muslim telling such a joke would make no sense and b) the multiculturalist relativists would be screaming RACIST* and probably suing. Humour is a great way of communicating controversial subjects, and that is one reason why Islam officials are trying to silence its opponents with Blasphemy laws, when the humourists are not simply being attacked/killed by fanatics.

*which is ridiculous because Islam is an ideology, not a race. But a lot of ignorant people here in Europe, on both the right and the left, don't seem to understand that.

I'd imagine it's very hard to assemble a room of Islamic fundamentalists in Oslo.

Those were the least white people she could find in all of Norway.>> ^aaronfr:
