The only problem with waiting to do something is that hotel/motel rooms on Labor Day weekend get snatched up - not to mention premature panicking everyone to snatch up reservations.

I did find one in the area I wanted to go. They need to work on their web map though. An arrow in the middle of green square near a highway is not much help without streets. AAA did not have the hotel in their data base either.

And then there was unloading my car on an incline. Note to architect: luggage carts will roll on inclines near a hotel entrance. No, the cart did not escape my clutches. Muhahahahahaha!

Or maybe November time. You can have your veterans' coffee on Veterans' Day. Your three-day weekend options are Labor Day, Veteran's Day, or Thanksgiving.

I'd like a siftup, anyway. I'm moving to Arizona anyway, and I had planned on making the trip to CA sometime thereafter... maybe October time. My girl was going to visit her grandparents and we were gonna have lunch or dinner with Lucky. It would be sweet if you joined us!

I too thought it a little odd that he'd kill himself over a 3.2 rated game... I think maybe he was really killing himself over some other crisis... spurned by a gay lover? Wore white after labor day? Stepped on a crack and broke his mother's back?

I live in a stereotypical suburb and all my neighbors have had Halloween decorations out since Labor Day, it seems. I expect to see Thanksgiving stuff out sometime next week and then Christmas lights on November 1st.
