I would think the best reason to do this would be the outrageous stage show you could do as an animated character without having the acrobatics and impossible dancing/karate/costume changes effect the 'singing'. Too bad they didn't think the same thing.

Yeah, if you check the wikipedia article linked above, it describes Tricking as "a type of acrobatics derived from martial arts such as sport karate incorporating techniques found in gymnastics, break dancing, and similar disciplines."

So even the (semi) official description acknowledges that it's more acrobatics than martial arts.

This is one of the rare remixes that I actually liked. Also of note for this tune, this song was also featured in Karate/Kung-Fu Kid with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.

So, the Star Wars kid grew up and started to appreciate Karate.

Karate doesn't require any strength! how about that.

He's still young but I'd say he definitely inherited a lot of talent. Personally, I was very, very pleasantly surprised by Karate Kid and a lot of it was because of him. There's enough potential in him to step out of daddy's shadow. He just has to avoid the pitfalls of child success and he will become more than just a smaller Will Smith.
