STUDY: $500 Per Month Life Changing For The Homeless

newtboy says...

Republicans seem to think bad random events only happen to corporations that deserve handouts whenever they ask, but when actual people go bankrupt and become destitute it’s always laziness, poor choices, or in the case of their favorite clown, good business.
They also seem to have trouble understanding the truth in the saying “a rising tide lifts all boats.”

Sometimes I feel like Alzheimer’s must be transmitted through political affiliation, because Republican minds have been slowly turning to mush since Reagan. When I was young, Republicans could still think, do math, and make cogent, if inhumane arguments (but not so much after Bush sr.). Now they’re just inhumane.

Vote While It Counts

spawnflagger says...

my favorite was the Arizona "recount" where Cyber Ninjas tallied 99 additional votes for Biden and 261 fewer votes for Trump than previously counted...

some other "findings" in their report also debunked:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2021/09/28/fact-check-arizona-audit-affirms-biden-win-doesnt-prove-voter-fraud/5846640001/

Why is it so hard to believe that people who were going to vote for Trump would listen to what he was preaching for weeks and months beforehand, and go vote in-person on the day; whereas people who were going to vote for Biden believed COVID-19 was actually real and more likely to use mail-in voting because it's safer and more convenient?
Here's a good explanation of the whole "quadrillion" BS by a British mathematician: https://youtu.be/ua5aOFi-DKs

And big surprise, Trump tried to shred presidential records from and around Jan 6….by hand….to hide his actions from that day. Too bad for him his interns taped them back together, but that doesn’t erase his crime of destroying them.
That’s another serious crime, trying to destroy presidential records. Even without the treason and sedition, that crime alone bans Trump from being president as a high crime.
I know that won’t make a bit of difference to you because you actually support Trump being criminal, then lying about it under oath, committing more crimes to hide the evidence, and pointing fingers at anyone but Trump to distract from his criminality. How’s that case against Clinton going?
There’s no denying it, so own it.

Can a newt get a neo nazi “let’s go Branon “ like your friends in Florida display on their flags? (Republican nazis, you guys are the only people I know too dumb to spell “Brandon” when it’s their own 1st grade drop out insult and favorite phrase). The contortions Florida Republicans are attempting, trying to deny their voters are nazis while being careful to not insult them, the questions of “how do we know they are nazis, just because they insult the president?!” No….it’s the swastikas, the “Heil Hitler, Heil Trump” chants. It’s the “the Jews will not replace us” chants. Your team, bob. No neo nazis are welcome in the Democratic Party…..not one….but to Republicans those are the good people.

True Romance (Trailer) - aka How Marketing Failed This Movie

OPERATION FORTUNE Trailer (2022)

newtboy says...

My most recent favorites were the two Crank movies. Utterly ridiculous constant action packed insanity. I like an action movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Oh, right, Wrath of Man. Totally forgot about that.

It's hard to keep track of stuff. There's just too much of it!

When I watched that, I thought it was an older movie I'd missed.

And I guess it was less of an ass-kicking movie and more of an ass-shooting movie.

After 60 Years, Tab Cola is being discontinued

BSR says...

Tab was my father's favorite drink when it came out.

Just thought I'd mention it in case you are ever asked on a radio quiz show.

Unfortunately Tab was apparently for beautiful people so I never tried it.

Anti Masker Wears Zoro Mask

newtboy says...

They might not know it when it happens.

Apparently, OAN, Newsmax, and Fox hadn't reported the results of the California election as of last night (maybe not yet). They even reported on Elder conceding without reporting that the recall failed....miserably. >2/3 to <1/3.
The right has become so delusional and infantile that they cannot even accept that they're unpopular and lost in California, their favorite state to hate.

They blew their plan to claim election fraud by jumping the gun and insisting on a special session to investigate all the irregularities (without listing any) claiming fraud determined the outrageous outcome of the election days before the earliest results were in....so early they had to retract their claims and remove their fraudulent election fraud website when, for one moment, it seemed they might stand a tiny chance.

Almost everything is a dog treat.

Think those are harmless. The ones, that know about, are flour-based. No butt or testes flavors added.

Have several vids kept for 'need a laff' days.

the pièce de résistance of most personal favorite LMAO vids is the sounds or phrases used.

Solar eclipse as seen from a plane

StukaFox says...

One of my favorite Bucket List checkoffs was watching a total solar eclipse from beginning to end. Seriously, if you get a chance to see one, TAKE IT! There are no words to describe how incredible the sight is, or the feeling of awe at the first second of totality. I could have lived without the 12-hour traffic jam getting back to Seattle, 'tho.

Sadly, the location I watched it from -- Detroit, Oregon -- burned to the ground two years later.

Amber Ruffin schools America about critical race theory

newtboy says...

Never one to miss an opportunity to display your race baiting ignorance, I see.

CRT and 1619 are adults dreams that maybe Americans like you can grow up enough and gain the testicular fortitude to learn their own history without whitewashing it for fear of catching the vapors and offending your delicate sensibilities. Doing that, ignoring centuries of deeply ingrained systemic racism, from legally considering black people subhumans, only 3/5 of a person ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-fifths_Compromise ) , to Jim Crow to redlining (Trump's favorite kind of racism) to the more subtle but pervasive racism of legislation aimed directly at black people without directly mentioning race (like voter ID laws and minimal polling places in black neighborhoods and gluts of polling places in predominantly white neighborhoods) has allowed ignoramuses to believe racism is over or never existed....because they don't see it with their blinders on, not because it's not there.

This is why education beyond 8th grade matters, Bob. Proud ignorance isn't a good look and gets you ridiculed every time you confidently spout nonsense.
