And as for the Chest Compression only, it is far more important to keep the heart pumping manually than it is to get "air into the lungs". By his recommendation, 911 would have the Emergency Medical Technicians there in a timely manner with very little to no damage to brain matter and other organs. Ventilation is sketchy at best (the R in CPR), and it stops one from manually pumping the heart for a short time. Remember, we don't absorb all the oxygen in the blood by the first pass, and you keep clots from forming, too (as I seem to recall...someone correct me on this?)

City Govt Demands All Keys To Properties Owned By Residents

MarineGunrock says...

Yeah, I figured it'd be a key sitting outside someone's house rather than a massive collection. But if they're this quick to dismiss the people's concerns with the FD, it's only a matter of time before they claim they're acting for the "citizen's safety" and give it to the PD.

<edit> I have no idea why this stuff is bolded</edit> >> ^NetRunner:

>> ^MarineGunrock:
@NetRunner - I think your idea of the fire chief or senior on duty having them would work if we weren't talking about hundreds of keys. First it's the FD, then city council says PD should have it, too. Then oh, what if you call because you're having a heart attack or stroke, so the EMTs need it too. Now we're REALLY starting to dilute the pool (lol, almost wrote 'poop') of people that have access to your key.

Well, it's not hundreds of keys. It's a key to a box outside with the keys in it. So one key. Granted, something of a master key, so you'd really want to keep good tabs on it.
FD/EMT are one and the same for this township, from what they said in the meetings. I'd join the protest of what city council is doing if they granted access to it to the PD.

Jurassic Park: The Musical

Guy goes to hospital for 10 minutes, gets $7000 bill.

nock says...

I'm not sure this guy is entirely telling the truth. He says in another video that he suffered a concussion in addition to the facial laceration. If he was admitted to the emergency dept with altered mentation in addition to the obvious trauma he likely would have had head/brain imaging with non-contrast CT. This in and of itself is several hundred dollars. I don't know if he was admitted as a trauma by ambulance, but if he had temporary loss of consciousness or altered mentation then the EMT/paramedics may have called in a high level trauma, which by default activates multiple services and personnel including anesthesia, general/trauma surgery and radiology. People spend way more than $7,000 on things like cars and travel. Why complain about medical treatment at one of America's leading private hospitals? I've worked at Stanford - I'm sure he was evaluated within 10 minutes of arriving at a bay in the ED. Stanford is a private, for-profit hospital with level 1 trauma services. He may have had a prolonged wait either because his status was triaged downwards for other traumas or the ED may have consulted dermatology or plastic surgery for the facial laceration repair. They may have been waiting for radiology clearance as well.

As far as Im concerned you shouldnt make peoples health into a business though, and lucky for me it isnt where I live

We shouldn't pay doctors? Nurses? Residential care and medical office administrators? X-Ray technicians? Database managers and data entry personnel? EMT? Diagnostic technicians? Occupational/physical therapists? Medical assistants? Personal and home care aides? Health services managers? Dispensing opticians? Mental health counselors? Respiratory therapists? Human service assistants? Clinical laboratory technologists? Diagnostic medical sonographers? Pharmacy technicians? Medical records technicians? Building cleaning workers? Bookkeeping and accountants? Receptionists and information clerks? Clinical researchers? Et cetera. Et cetera. Et cetera.

Surely, it's still a business where you live; it's just a business paid for by the coerced taxes of the people as opposed to being a voluntary business.

Arrested For Asking A Policeman For His Badge Number

Police should arrest people for posting one sided videos that dont' tell the whole truth imo.
We all remember the ambulance driver one, i called BS on that, while everyone was crying how bad cops are...turns out the cop was in the right.
These hags most likely had it coming. I love how they make it all seem so dramatic, looks like a simple arrest to me, and they were resisting.

TURNS OUT THE COP WAS IN THE RIGHT?

You think you can just make some ridiculous comment with no supporting evidence because it's a few weeks later and get away with it? You just missed the point of the Sift by about 3 goddamn miles.

From Fox News, no less - the trooper's dash cam shows nothing significant beyond what the family member's film showed. The EMT offered to be arrested at the hospital just as was said in his victim's statement, which I linked in my sifting of that dustup.

Now, back to this video: Imagine how you would react if a person, uniformed or not, starts attempting to restrain you with no stated reason in the middle of a calm conversation. Oh, right, you'd lie there on the ground and take it peacefully because it's fine so long as someone with a badge is pushing your face into the dirt?
