Che Guevera was a great man by any measure.
The "murderous thugs" were the kind of assholes that you support, QM. The kind of guys who would roll into a village and kill anybody that they suspected might someday challenge their authority and rule.

Depends on what side of the ball you're on, buddy. Che has been idolized and been made a hero and a legend, but the means by which he got things done often fell short of righteous. If you're the "ends justifies the means" type of person, then I bet you could be a big fan. I do believe the folklore behind him is more powerful than his actual actions.

QuantumPushbroom - for somebody touting "revolution, revolution" so much, you sure are against anybody who as actually led a revolt. I'm sorry if the revolution doesn't always come by means of "electing a republican". I'd like to say that an actual revolution would be more bloody, but with neo-cons these days, I'm not so sure...
