We Canucks celebrate Thanksgiving in October, but one cannot be too thankful, says I.

Hope you had a great one. What are you most thankful for this year?

Hey there Farhad, I noticed that you had sifted a video from the Russian miniseries the seventeen instances/moments of spring so I thought you might enjoy this:

I haven't had the opportunity to watch the series yet, but I fell in love with the piano score in this clip.

I'm battling a nasty cold at the moment, but otherwise I'm doing great. I head back to the great white north in April which is fast approaching! I'm definitely going to miss Denmark, but I know I'll be back eventually. I'm already bracing myself for the inevitable culture shock I'm going to go through when I return.
Nova Scotia, huh? Sounds like it'll be a great trip. You been before? The maritimes are beautiful in the summer. I went to Lunenburg a few years back and had a fantastic time. Halifax is a great city too - had lots of fun there.

Good, good! And yourself? When are you coming back to North America, Jesse? I'm sailing from Connecticut up to Nova Scotia in June, I can't wait.

My New Year kicked off with one hell of a lot of firecrackers and some good old fashioned drunken debauchery, so I can't complain too much.. I'm struggling to get back into the swing of things at work and it's pretty crazy to think that my time in Denmark is already coming to a close pretty soon. Time sure has a knack for going by way too fast when you're enjoying yourself. 2010 is supposedly the Year of the Inuit in Canada. I haven't seen much evidence to show that this will actually mean anything, but I'm trying to be optimistic!

Thanks, Jesse, it's been good so far. It's been a mix of arduous toil and reckless creative and amorous pursuit. I've reestablished NefFlix's faith in my finances and am padding out my queue with JesseoftheNorth fare. So far I've added 101 Reykjavik but need to go back and find some of the others you've posted. Thanks for the tips!
How's the Scandinavian New Year treating you?

Jesse, I plan on trying to rent Reykjavik 101, I love the idea of an Icelandic slacker film. Tell me, have you ever seen Nói albínói?
No, I haven't seen that movie, but it does look good. I'll have to look out for it. I loved Reykjavik 101. Scandi films have a unique feel to them, I find. Reykjavik 101 is a good example that not all Scandinavian films have to be dark and brooding. I'd also suggest I am Curious (yellow and blue) from Sweden.
