"I want Don't Ask Don't Tell for ALL of society" Ann Coulter

Jinx says...

Nobody asked for you Anne and the thought of you having sex with anybody or anything brings up a bit of vomit so do us all a favour and just disappear thanks.

addendum: Bitch!

The Invisible Bicycle Helmet (Some thought it can't be done)

AeroMechanical says...

With all the buildup, I was expecting something much more clever. That said, if they reduce it in size by about a factor of five, which is probably not impossible, it could be pretty cool.

addendum:

After thinking about it, I would be interested to know the details of the activation mechanism. It would have to be fairly complex so as not to inflate when you hit a bump or make a sudden maneuver, but also be guaranteed to inflate even if you impact something head on and go over the handlebars. I got hit by a car head on once, and there wasn't much in the way of sudden impacts or acceleration until I was actually hitting the ground because I jumped to avoid getting tangled with the bike (didn't hit my head proper, but lost a few teeth). It could be freefall I suppose, but you sometimes get that cresting a hill. Presumably it's not for any sort of aggressive(ish) riding.

Wall Street Has An Unfair Advantage

This clip is from a movie called Zeitgeist: Addendum. It’s the second movie in a 3 part series that outlines the corruption of the government, the corrupt and way in which money and markets work, and possible solutions to those issues. The director is a brillant minded person named Peter Joseph. There is so much quality information that comes out of his group of people at The Zeitgeist Movement. It’s well worth a thorough examination as his movies are only a very small portion of the overall content that is available from the movement.

Bill Maher and Craig Ferguson on Religion

@SDGundamX

just a short addendum: your citation of the "40 year atheist" is misleading at best, deceitful at worst (while the author you link to is plain old deceitful, suggesting to the reader that he's an atheist when in fact he is not). If you knew, then your wording is highly questionable, and if you didn't, all can say is what I've said to you before: check your sources.

Murdered Bodies by Syrian Secret Police *WARNING! GRAPHIC!*

Not to mince words, but it's not snuff. A "snuff" movie shows the actual death or murder of the individual. Definitely *gore though, and worthy of an addendum to the FAQ. And on that note, I'm gonna go barf...

passports for kids (Kids Talk Post)

peggedbea says...

so my divorce decree gave us joint managing conservatorship, then we added an addendum later that gives me "primary managing conservatorship" and he has "posessory managing conservatorship" the words "sole custody" are never mentioned. it lists things we each have the right/responsibility to... basically "posessory managing conservatorship" means that he can make decisions only while he has possession of them... which is never and he was granted supervised restricted court visitation only.. meaning he can only see his kids every other saturday for one hour with 2 police officers and a social worker present.... so as a posessory who doesnt even show up for his supervised visits, he basically retains the right to be notified in the event of a terminal illness, injury or death. but it doesn't say shit about passports or travel or blah. i do have a "can't move farther than 100 miles away" restriction though......

i was trying to explain this to the people on the phone and they said that unless my decree specifically spells something out, i have to have a notarized form from him in order to obtain their passports and take them out of the country.

but they don't give out "supervised restricted visitation" like that unless there is a serious and documented history of domestic violence, contacting him would be bad for him because of his fragile mental state, and bad for me and the kids because of his fragile mental state and history of psychotic violence. so apparently that may fall under things that give me an exemption.

Unless you have sole legal custody both parents have to appear in person.

Morgan Spurlock Talks Sell Outs

MilkmanDan says...

Actually, addendum / full disclosure to that: The video wouldn't load at all in my Firefox (I get "Video not found") but I assumed that was because it wasn't playing nice with my combination of NoScript, Adblock, and Cookie Monster plugins.

I tried Chrome, and it successfully played the ad so I made the post above, but then I got the same "Video not found" when it got past the ad and tried to cycle through to the actual video.

I then tried in IE (my "last resort" browser), which I have just today "upgraded" to IE9, only to discover that apparently there isn't a solid version of Flash for IE9 on Win7 x64.

I'll try again later.

Obama's War: An Impeachable Offense?

GeeSussFreeK says...

I did, but it seemed like you said the reason we shouldn't care about Libya is because of Iraq. And then turned around and said this isn't like Iraq, even though it is clearly like Iraq. In other words, you were mad because this is just like Iraq, and because it isn't like Iraq.

Give me a fucking break.
If anything we should be pissed that he continued the bullshit in Iraq and Afghanistan. Focusing on Libya is just distracting from MAJOR, LONG TERM problems.
The UN, including America, is in Libya to prevent civilians from being murdered for protesting their government. Maybe someday someone will show that we shouldn't have done it but this video is pathetic journalism that distracts from larger and more pressing issues.
It's fucking bullshit.
Upvote to illuminate ignorance.

You mean like Iraq? We didn't already learn that lesson? I don't see how the UN removes that previous lesson...to error in crowds don't make it any less an error. Are you saying that whenever a country kills its citizens, it should be bombed? If so, then you approve of Iraq.
Edit, as an addendum, I am not sure this is an impeachable offence.
""The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States" who may only be impeached and removed for "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors"." Being that the context of the War Powers Act is vague and congress hasn't repealed it, I don't see any real justification for the charge of treason or high crimes, just playing by the rules of poorly formed laws.

Hey Geesuss,
Next time, when you're going to reply to one of my comments, try reading it first. Christ on a shitwagon, you even quoted me as saying that the Libya thing is just distracting from the major, long term problem in Iraq. Why am I even repeating myself?.
