Earphones for your Nose, Music for your Mouth

Apparently there is a quite large community (and growing) of teenage girls putting earphones in their noses and letting the music come out of their mouths. I admit, it's pretty cool, but rather unusual.

And... ok, I'd rather not put my earphones in my ears after my nose... or my nose after my ears for that matter, would rather keep the two areas separate... if I had specific nose plugs for this, that'd be ok...

Oh you're silly they're already attached....just like your mouth and your anus.

Well, it works, but apparently there's a little bit of a trick to it - there's a natural tendency for the soft palate to close off communication between the nose and the mouth when the mouth is open, so you have to get a "feel" for what's going on back there. Even when it was working, the effect wasn't as pronounced as shown in the video, though admittedly I didn't ram the buds too far up there. I'd guess it probably works better for people with a lower Mallampati score.
