Rubbish! People do worse things to animals every day. The childless spinster who told must not see the cute baby lambs getting their ears pierced... or molested by a farmer

I was told by someone with a doberman that they don't "chop" the tail off, they wind a rubber band very tightly on the tail of the puppies so that it cuts off circulation and the tail eventually dies and drops off. Doesn't really make it any less disgusting, imo.

umm, anyone in here have a problem with being circumcised in your first week of life?! Chopping off your kid's dick is way worse than piercing a cat's skin.

The ears thing doesn't really bother me, but the piercing in the neck seemed a little excessive. I'm not sure why house arrest is warranted when we dock ears and tails on pets all the time.
