Mordhaussays...*quality
siftbotsays...Boosting this quality contribution up in the Hot Listing - declared quality by Mordhaus.
Reefiesays...#6 could've done with a mention of Cube even if it didn't take the spot, that film made excellent use of one cube room for the entire movie
ChaosEnginesays...What they didn't mention about Hobbiton was that it was actually built twice.
The first time (for the LOTR movies) they built it as a traditional temporary set, designed to be taken down after filming. The land then reverted to a sheep farm. But when they did the hobbit movies they actually built the set out of stone and wood, so you can actually go there and walk around the town.
LiquidDriftsays...No mention of Wes Anderson's awesome sets? Life Aquatic anyone?
lucky760says...TLDR
Someone please list them for me. kthx
poolcleanersays...I also expected to see The Belafonte. Too bad. My personal favorite Anderson film.
It also had that Portuguese musician Seu Jorge playing acoustic David Bowie covers throughout the film.
Or how about the Shining? Kubrick's insane penchant for kicking people off set and moving objects on the set, like paintings and couches, to slightly different locations in order to create an uncanny feeling throughout the movie. He didn't tell his actors either. He was just a weirdo. Worth a shout out for that.

LiquidDriftsays...I loved it too! Here's a rundown of the set for those who haven't seen it:
