gwiz665says...Duck and cover!
NordlichReitersays...I always wonder about the physics of accidents.
If the car was tilted 1 o'clock as apposed to 11 o'clock when the rolling started, perhaps it would have bounced towards the track instead of the boundary. Or was it the clockwise twist that started that caused the car to go that way?
Sort of like a football. Maybe I'm not looking at this video the right way...
GeeSussFreeKsays...Not only that, but sometimes someone will get totally creamed and walk away without so much as a scratch. Then other times, what looks pretty painful but not deathly turns out otherwise.
EMPIREsays...Yep.. we portuguese all drive like that.
That's what we call a perfect parking.
direpicklesays...Call the ambalamps!
Yogisays...Ya know I think it would be best not to take your eyes of the car if you're going to try and avoid it...and if you must, you should run sideways away from the car, not WITH the car. There was at least one person there who just got lucky they weren't ripped in half.
bamdrewsays...jesus christ yellow-hat-guy! good running!

allot of what affects the direction of roll , is the body work crumpling and changing the shape of the serfice of contact
NetRunnersays...I'm amazed none of the corner workers were hurt -- it looks like it very narrowly missed one of them.
csnel3says...what are they racing? LeCars? little cars wont hurt anybody.

People always fault Wile E Coyote for not running to the side, but it is pretty hard to keep the presence of mind when in an actual emergency.
Anyway, the crash was pretty crazy. It didn't look like it had the kinetic energy to keep going after the first flip, but then it went into the air like it had an invisible rocket attached to the left rear side.
