N.C. Pastor Fired for Not Believing in Hell

AP: Pastor Chad Holtz ministered to a congregation in Oxford, North Carolina until he stated that he no longer believed in hell in a blog post to the church website. Holtz told his story to the AP. (March 24)

The poor guy, all he wanted to do was lead a church. Then just because he didn't share their core beliefs they fired him. Pretty soon even Atheists won't be allowed to pastor a church. Oh, right.

Well he's managed to ditch 1/3 of that useless weight he's carrying around now he just has to come to terms with the rest of it. "Believe or Burn" as I call it isn't a choice as the religious would tell you, it's a threat. It's a gun at your head saying "Do it or else. I'll be really sorry about it but I'll still do it." Calling that love is like having Stockholm syndrome.

Besides, it's not like their aren't a ton of hipster churches out there who would be happy to have him. Call up Rob Bell, he'll probably have a few recommendations.
