Malasian airline shot down in Ukraine today

a passenger plane from Amsterdam has been shot down over rebel held Ukraine with 295 confirmed dead. Not the first plane shot down in the area.

Jokes aside, if it really was a Gadfly, there has to have been radar activity specific to that type of SAM. Given the ongoing military activity in that zone, someone must have recorded it, be it a ground station or an airborne surveillance platform. Everone's going to try to spin the flow of information to their use, so we might not get to see it for a few decades, but still...
