FlowersInHisHairsays...Serious question from non-US person: does flying your choice of flag count as protected free speech? I ask because an awful lot of people I thought were in favour of free speech, on the left and the right, are calling for the flag to be banned or for people to stop using it.
newtboysays.......banned from government facilities or properties. Few want to outright ban it for private use, but many have decided to no longer sell them. Telling people they should not display it is not the same as telling them they must not.
Then again, it's also true that many people don't understand that speech is only free if disgusting speech is allowed, and do want things they hate to be 'banned', fortunately they are a minority, I think.

As Oliver says, it's useful for identifying "the worst people ever"
