"Ladies Are you doing laundry in the love of god"

Chaser's show on everything, how nonsensical Christian Television really is.

"Tell it all brothers. Come forth and tell it all to God!"
"Reverend, I have sinned. This week I had relations with a woman other than my wife."
"That's alright brother. You are forgiven. Now, anyone else? C'mon, tell it all!"
"Reverend, I have sinned. This week I had relations with a goat."
"Damn brother! I don't believe I'd a told that!"

i seriously hope you joking ry. really. cause thats probably about the dumbest thing ive read all week. boo hoo poor christians, theres nobody around who understands us. oh wait. how about the fact thats its practically REQUIRED for a candidate to believe in christ in one form or another to be considered for election? you want misunderstood and downtrodden? try atheists. out of multiple studies done almost every single minority possible was put up to the question "would you elect a (insert minority here) as president?" blacks, jews, women, gays, etc. they all had at least an 80-90% approval rate that they would be a fine candidate. atheists? 40%.

just admitting your an atheists is the equivalent of political suicide among other hazards from religious nutjobs who cant stand the fact folks might actually use common sense and reason to realize that just about every "fact" presented by religion can't be proven or realized except through so called "faith". i.e. convincing oneself that somehow the laws of reality no longer apply as long as enough people are convinced of it.

personally? i wouldn't care if the entire world suddenly up and decided that 2+2 = 5. because unfortunatly, no matter how many people "believe" or have "faith" that 2+2 = 5, that can not and will not ever make it true.

my apologies for the rant but inane comments like that drive me right up the wall.

I think he was playing 'devil's advocate', fishing for a response.

Only thing I've got against faith healers is their tax exempt status. If they're taking money that would go to our hard working doctors and dentists, they should at least have to pay the same taxes!

I prefer the Buddhist attitude toward domestic work (any work, really) which is that we can approach it as our daily meditation. I don't have a dishwasher, so I usually spend about 20 minutes in the morning and when it's my night, about 45 minutes at night, at the sink, up to my elbows in suds.

It's a perfect opportunity to meditate, because it's repetitive and doesn't require much brain space. It is just as tricky as seated meditation, keeping your mind on what you are doing, without it drifting away to other thoughts.

When I'm feeling sorry for myself, it can feel like torture. When I focus, it can be very satisfying.

Chaser's is, as usual, damn funny. Not that it's hard to turn such obvious scams for a laugh. It's hard to believe people continue to fall for such bull. I don't know much about the others, but Benny Hinn is a con artist of the first degree.

Oh, and spoco2, i do believe in the devil, and i do think he's to blame for most televangelists. Can you think of any better way to turn people off to God (or on to a false, foolish imitation thereof) than scams like this? Makes me sick.
