Yup, A president with style that actually does his job and doesnt make an ass of himself on every public opportunity, these are some tough times ahead of us, especially for the Daily Show, they may have to start actually writing jokes now, instead of just stealing all their stuff from Bush.
14087says...Jon's right about one thing, I don't remember a previous president elect holding a press conference to discuss details of a huge piece of legislation. As far as I can remember getting something past in the first 100 days the term would be considered successful.
Maybe Obama will raise the benchmark to "the first 10 days in office".

or playing bush unedited and saying "what he said"
Sarah palin was best parodied by someone who appeared to truly be her, just in a way that made you almost forget it was a parody, and how disturbing that fact was.
chilaxesays...I think part of the reason polls show Americans aren't forgiving Bush, even though most outgoing presidents receive a farewell boost in their polling, is that not only did Bush perform disastrously, he also routinely acted in bad faith, seeking to undermine essential checks and balances and set new records in distasteful partisanship.

Yes there will be a few political appointments. Wow a straight answer from a politician.
