ponceleonsays...The chick was pleasantly and relaxingly hot... not sure I can sleep thinking about her...
mauz15says...This is not even close to being * science.
kronosposeidonsays...^I disagree, because most things mentioned in this video are based on sleep research, hence the science.
mauz15says...In case you get me wrong, my comment is just based on pure opinion; that's why I didn't remove it from the channel. Science aims to explain, which they do not do much in this video. Mostly it just tells you what to do, hardly why it works. Hence my comment. I just wished they explained more the science of these steps that's all.
kronosposeidonsays...^Fair enough, and no offense taken. I wish we had a Health or Medical channel, that way I could use one of those instead of Science. Sooner or later someone will create one, but in the mean time I'll keep it in the Science channel.
cybrbeastsays...Mmmm, turkey with peanut butter.
chilaxesays...The claim they repeat that turkey makes us sleepy is an urban legend. http://www.snopes.com/food/ingredient/turkey.asp
Summary:
1. The claim is that tryptophan content in turkey is the cause of our sleepiness after holiday meals.
2. But other foods like chicken and beef contain the same amount of tryptophan.
3. And tryptophan doesn't act on the brain in the quantities contained in turkey, or if consumed with any protein.
Snopes states the sleepiness associated with holiday meals is more likely due to the large, rich meals.
