dgandhiThey are taking reservations, the all elec version is billed at 27k, and the hybrid at 30k, though you probably won't be able to get financing for these things, you could always pull the cash out on a second mortgage.
I'm wondering how hard(read expensive) it is to get insurance for these things.
I've been following this since it was a project of applied composites, I'm glad they finally got it out of the workshop.
I wonder if they will have a bio-diesel hybrid, that might get me to find the cash for one of these.

Also, stop putting touch screens in cars. Drivers should be looking at the road. Controls should provide enough tactile feedback to be used without looking at them.

The reality of the matter is that this vehicle is significantly safer then an SUV. Aptera is made of composites much stronger then steel, and is designed to slide over the top of the monster vehicle, which will then roll(an they are prone to do) and kill its occupants and a couple of bystanders.
SUV safety is a myth.
