FOX News: Obama "Indoctrinating" Kids

Oh, Nos! Obama's going to be TALKING to KIDS at school!!! Quick! Pull them out of school for the day!
JiggaJonsonsays...

"Conservatives were right all along, we should never have created a department of education in the first place."

wow wow WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW fucking WOW

It's funny, my stepmother accused me of "Being brainwashed" and "Only listening to the left wing media," but it's days like today where I chill out (or try to) and get my sift on that completlely nullify thoes statements. Yes I watch a lot of news, on both sides. In fact I think I actually watch more right wing media than left wing media. And it's shit like this that drives me fucking mad.

Lolthiensays...

Dear god, I had video's of every president in office during my years in school telling me a thousand things from stay in school to don't do drugs...

Do the conservatives really not have anything more important to complain about? Seriously? They're worried Obama is talking to sixth graders?

As someone who voted for him, I'd rather he be talking to adults honestly.

Christ, Obama is 'indoctrinating' our kids... It's called learning respect for the office of the president, something we lost dramatically during the bush years, and something the right could stand to learn a bit themselves.

sholesays...

notice how they mention families supposedly "starting to ask questions", based on information that only now is mentioned - an easy way to indirectly tell people to do just that

EDDsays...

This was really hard to watch Too bad I'm not like Colmes who can just laugh this immense stupidity off, all the while his fact-checking and correcting is completely ignored.

Monica: "There's a reason he's only going after children under 6th grade - gotta get 'em young!!!1 This is what Mao Tsetung did!!1 Hitlar! STalins!!1"

Laura: "Actually, Monica, there are also materials for 6th grade and upwards" (2nd time she says this, Monica was too dumb to hear it the first time)

Monica: "Oooh, see, I knew it!!!1 I KNEW IT!!!"

This is the problem with these folks - they appear to be past the point of no return: even if their arguments are invalidated 5 seconds after they've espoused them, this reinforces their position... somehow? This is a sad, sad state of affairs

Nithernsays...

With Obama, the material seems to be thought provoking and deep. Here's a few from GWB. That's right boys and girls, this is how a CONSERVATIVE President talks:

"One of my conserns is that the health care not be as good as it can possibly be." --On benefits provided to military personnal, Tipp City, Ohio, April 19, 2007.

"I want everybody to hear loud and clear that I'm going to be the president of everybody." --Washington D.C., January 18, 2001.

"You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror." --Interview with CBS News, Washingon, D.C., September 6, 2006.

"Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir, I talk to families who die." --Speaking to reporters on facing the challenges of war, Washington, D.C., December 7, 2006.

"If the Iranians were to have a nuclear weapon, the could proliferate." --Washington, D.C., March 21, 2006.

Yes, got to love the Bush talking points back in the day. When one really had to back up, and rethink what the idiot said. Funny how Fox News does not talk about 'No Child Left Behind"; like they rather that conservative act be forgotten as soon as possible.

Btw, the quotes do come from Mr. George W. Bush, but found them in the book "The Ultimate George W. Bushisms" by Jacob Weisberg.
