Everything Is A Remix: KILL BILL Edition

An extrapolation

Tarantino would answer "so what?" Not because he is a dick, but because these effects/scenes weren't borrowed by accident. He has been open from the begining about the Kill Bill series copying vintage martial arts films. Pointing out the similarities is like pointing at Robert Rodriguezes "Grindhouse" and saying that he ripped off cult grindhouse films.

I don't think the creator of this vid was trying to put down Tarantino, RS... quite the contrary. It seems to me to have been put together by someone with encyclopedic knowledge of filmmaking, and I found it fascinating and awesome to watch. I would think Tarantino would applaud this! If not, then he's a douche. Just sayin'.

I just took that stance because the "everything is a remix" is usually a cynical look at Hollywood's tendency to redo the same thing over and over.
