Emo is DANGEROUS

Local news outlet shows concern about the "emo" movement. Hilariously enough though every example of emo culture they use are actually jokes poking fun at emo.

holy friggin crap! how can I not upvote? See kids, this is what happens to high school cheerleaders who go on to get "communications" degrees and thier boyfriends who slide through high school with a C average and then go on to take criminal justice at the local junior college. Eventually they get together again and make beautiful, beautiful unintentional comedy together.

Wow, and it's ment to be a serious news report? Emo kids are a messed up bunch but they are on their way out. And I think deadundead is thinking of the late 80's goth movement. Emo kids are beyond that.

I couldn't help but laugh the entire way through. Do they realize that everything they pointed out about how dangerous emo is was actually satire making fun of it?

A point system, the more points you get the cooler you are? Are you serious?

As pointed out earlier- comedy gold!

Like nibiyabi, upvote at the ostrich.

Say it with me: "emo" is stupid. Worrying about emo is stupid-er.

In the end it's just the same clique-based teen angst that's been playing itself out in pop culture for quite some time now.
Elvis & rock n' roll, punk rock, ozzy, death metal, goths, marilyn manson etc etc etc. Retrospectively, all of these things look somewhat tame, and eventually the big fuss made over them looks downright silly. This video would be exhibit A.

Did she not realize that every single product and website she mentioned was a parody? C'mon. Real Emos don't actually have checklists and instructional cutting boards... oh shit... or do they?
