Drive the Ball Further with this Unique Swing

Check out Jamie Sadlowski's swing!!

I don't want to be a clever dick or anything, but i thought the whole point of a controlled swing was to improve technique and ensure consistent results when you're playing.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that swinging it harder will hit the ball further but it's a question of the control you can maintain, surely? It's commendable if someone can maintain that control whilst swinging harder, but i don't see how "swing harder" is a tip, and that's what i believe the convoluted explanation boils down to - he draws it further and whips it round harder.

This sort of swing impresses people, but what wins golf games is the next shot onto the green (the iron sheet), the chip (if needed) and the putt. It's ridiculous to mock myself (and my friends) when we get to the green in two---then 4 putt the green. I suspect the most bent club is the putter!

Still, looks like a riot a fun swing to have.

He's consistent enough with it to be the PGA long drive champion.

I am a bit surprised that the commentator thinks 5' 10" is somehow a drawback. 5' 10" is a great height for a golfer. They tend to have an easier time in controlling the club head than someone taller.

Yeah, I didn't understand why he harped on that either. It was kind of a distraction from an otherwise very interesting video.
