I have no idea as to why this dude has a cardboard image of himself, but his dog think it the devil incarnate. (The Tubez)

I was kinda hoping she'd pee on it or something.

Can someone explain why dogs get freaked out by cardboard cutouts? My friend had one of Boba Fett and this dog (a lab)literally jumped on the counter and sprayed liquid shit out of her butt all over the kitchen in fear. Didn't taunt her or anything. Just brought it in the house.

Does 2d freak them out more than anything else or something?

Cutouts are probably a dog's version of the Uncanny Valley.

some dogs don't like big things that extend over their heads. I'm wondering if the dog would have the same reaction to him picking up a chair and trying to lift it over another object.
