eric3579says...Damn Paparazzi!
gharksays...yea, can you imagine what Attenborough's 'Life on Earth' would be like with 6 paparazzi photographers hovering around each and every one of his nature subjects
Pretty amazing fish though
Damn Paparazzi!
articiansays...How are Sunfish not giant, floating smorgasbords for carnivorous predators? They're like giant pieces of steak with fins.
Enzobluesays...That thing is probably moving at top speed there and screaming for it's life.
antjokingly says...Can you hug it?
Paybacksays...From what I've read, they are attacked quite often. They are fairly bony and allegedly bad tasting, but Orca, sea lions, and the like do eat them. Smaller predators can't get through their thick skins. They subsist mostly on jellyfish, which might explain some of it. The predators wouldn't like to go into jellyfish swarms.

EMPIREsays...They used to have one at the Oceanário in Lisbon (which I saw once of twice), but unfortunately it died in 2010. They have a new one, but I don't think it has grown to full size yet.
