If this is how Matthews is going to act from here on out, I may need to start watching his show.

He's usually been a good barometer of what the empty-headed chattering class is going to be saying. He's either broken out from the herd, and became a real journalist, or the whole herd is about to turn.

What has happened to Chris Matthews lately? The guy is eating his Wheaties or something, because he really just hit the nail on the head there with his point about certain buzzwords being used to silence one's critics without having to engage their arguments.

This is a good start, but we NEED a lot more of this. Personally I think journalists need to call bullshit when someone lies.

And by that I mean they need to litterally say, "I'm sorry sir (or ma'am), but that is bullshit. _X_ days ago you said _Y_ not _Z_. Here is your direct quote, 'blah, blah, blah'. Are you lying now or were you lying then you lying hipocritical fuckbag?"

Something along those lines anyway.

I hope Matthews continues with this. Olbermann is as bad as O'Reilly with his rants; he doesn't get anything positive done (save for making O'Reilly look like more of a prick). We need real newsmen/women to get up and fight the good fight.
