Cat Saves Toddler From Falling Down Stairs

Gatubela, the Siamese Cat isn’t just looking out for her own nine lives.

In a video captured by an office security camera in Bogota, Colombia on October 31, one-year-old baby Samuel León can be seen crawling around outside of his crib, when suddenly the little baby began heading for the doorway which immediately led to a steep flight of stairs.

Springing into action, Gatubela pounced on the boy, and forcefully pushed him back from the 12-step cement stairwell and the horrific incident that would have followed.

Not weird at all. If my emergency food stash started wandering off, I'd get medieval on its buttocks too.

Can't say the last time I met a cat that didn't turn it's nose up at even day old wet food. Also, if he fell, the humans would probably come in and clean it up anyway.

It does seem clear it was the feline's intent to protect the kid from self-injury... kind of shockingly amazing to my eyes.
