Cat Deeley is an awesome presenter

Taken from Peter Kay's "Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice", Cat Deeley says exactly what many presenters of live shows must be thinking!
KnivesOutsays...

My first inclination would be to say "fake", done with edits. I just can't really believe that the mob would react with complete silence to her command to shut the fuck up. They're already in a frenzy!

Still, ell oh ell funny. *quality.

This TV show is a parody of all the reality competitions, hence it's title: "Peter Kay's Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice". Cat was the casted presenter. So while it's not fake, it is a scripted parody TV show.>> ^KnivesOut:

Using this logic then according to most here it's fake. Since many of you love to point out how fake professional wrestling is, which also scripted.

There's a difference between fake (something presenting itself as real) and fiction. I don't think anyone here has had to think for any amount of time that Professional Wrestling wasn't pure fiction. Just because Knivesout got fooled by an edit of a parody doesn't discount the rest of us when we call fake.

Professional Wrestling hasn't presented itself as real for a couple decades now. Something a lot of you seem to forget. Remember it's called World Wrestling Entertainment.

There were only two episodes (2x 1hr), but if you've ever had the misfortune to sit through any kind of TV "talent" contest, you'll know exactly what this show is poking fun at.

so, was this show funny? should i check it out?

It wasn't very good. Not a patch on phoenix nights or his standups. Some people will laugh at anything though so maybe you'd like it. I didn't like max and paddy, for example, it had maybe 2 decent moments, but a lot of people liked it.

L0ckysays...

I didn't rate max and paddy much either. I'll give this a peek and see what I think.

The problem with Peter Kay, is although he's superb at what he does, I don't think his material has much distance.

You get that with a lot of comedians; they get quite popular quite fast, hit their peak and then disappear as people get bored of their act. Like Johnny Vegas.

It's called World Wrestling Entertainment because the World Wildlife Fund sucessfully sued their asses back in 2000. They didn't change it for any altruistic "truthy" ideals.

Seriously? It's been well known for years it's not real, they haven't pretended for years it's not real, and you are going to continue down this path? <sigh> Only a moron would think it was real, and only a moron would continue to call FAKE every time they see a clip from it.

Wow. You're really adamant about sweaty muscly dudes in spandex/vinyl panties, aren't you..

Yeah... That's it...

I find it amusing/ridiculous that idiots continue to yell FAKE every time they see a wrestling clip in this day and age, when it's been well known for decades that it's fake. You don't yell FAKE when you watch action/sci-fi/adventure/fantasy movie clips do ya? Why? Because it's well known that they are fake. Then why insist on doing it on wrestling clips? LOL.
