Why the whole banking system is a scam - Godfrey Bloom

renatojj says...

I'd say only a bad economist would think quantitative easing is, indiscriminately, a good thing.

A bad economist is someone who disregards the long term consequences of an economic act or policy, or who only considers the effects on one group of people, and not of every group involved or affected.

There's a lot of incentive for perpetuating bad economics, it justifies policies that benefit a group of people at the expense of another, or one generation at the expense of the next.

Keynes summed it up best himself, "In the long run, we are all dead", which I think is a truly sad and insightful admission of how bad an economist he really was.

All I can say is that he could have made his point by being less antagonistic. Sometimes people don't know the rules, which is their fault, I know, but she just needed to be told she's on the wrong side, that's all, no need for swearing and name-calling.

I used to jog on the wrong side of the sidewalk, and when I almost ran into a guy jogging, he complained and explained my error, so I learned. I also once saw two bikes hitting each other head on because one of them was on the wrong side.

Wealth Inequality in America

@enoch hi, thanks for replying. You might notice I never said I wasn't hostile, just that my hostility wasn't sparked by mere disagreement, but by being misrepresented, by prejudice.

Try to remember any time in your life when you were the target of prejudice. How did that make you feel? Can you remember how you reacted?

When I was hostile towards people who disagreed with me, it might take some empathy to spot where and how people I argued with were misrepresenting me and my opinions as well.

In your post, I felt that you made many assumptions about me that I know to be false. How would you feel about a complete stranger dispensing advice to you as if they've honestly mistaken you for someone they're familiar with? I'm sure it wouldn't bother you any less if they did so with the best of intentions in their hearts.

I also don't take kindly to the suggestion that I'm incapable of civilized discussion. I'm sure you can appreciate that.
