Country-PEOPLE, you sexist pig!!!
Fair enough, but do you think that people who wouldn't be able to make that distinction would care? I don't. I'm sure there's plenty of video edited out that might show perfectly rational people saying their views; but that there's people out there that are willing to show others their beliefs and seem absolutely bugnuts really scares me.
bleargh,
maybe I'll work on my debating and hit you up later

TED: Dan Pink on the Surprising Science of Motivation
I dunno... His Encarta vs Wikipedia argument kind of clinched it for me. People doing stuff out of their own passion rather than what job they might have will probably produce a better product.
Incentivising never worked for me if I didn't actually care about the task at hand.
I dunno; it's interesting that he has scientific studies, but I also think he might be misreading he data coming back.
District 9 - Wikus And Christopher Storm The Lab
Hi southblvd,
I've been lurking, but this seemed like a fun way to start on the sift... Butttt, why would a foreign species expect to be experimented on as depicted in the movie? And why is compassion for others of your species something NOT to get bugged about?
District 9 was fun and intellectual... I'll need to see it again, but I couldn't find any real faults in it.
cheers
