They're not in Iraq for a simple reason, they are rich. Iv'e never ever ever ever seen a person in uniform that was from a wealthy family, let alone one who could afford a three piece business suit. People talk a good game but won't sacrafice years of their lives to wallow in the trenches for minimum wage. Their was only the football player who joined the airborn rangers. If you want action you become a grunt, if you want the glory associated with being a grunt, you become a marine. If you are dangerous, wreckless bastard who is indifferent to either notion, you become a ranger. If you come from a rich family, you go to a good university and become middle managment at a law firm. Simple. Politics has nothing to do with the uniform, it's the suits a million miles away that deal with that shit.

"OHHH Women and Gays" ZING

I quit the final fantasy series as soon as moved to the playstation. Just like Peter Griffin's critique on the Godfather, the Playstation series insists on itself. Too many cut scenes, the game play piled on unnessary battle elements, the story lines and characters acted like clingy, needy, insecure relationships, that you knew weren't going anywere when you started them.

Most of all, I really liked the Jrpg's battles. There was an element of thought that was needed in order to be successful. It has since mutated into a very bland, almost mortal combat style of predictability.


Granted I have only played the first playstation FF, but having watched my friends play from time to time was enough to convince me that I will never enjoy another FF game.

I can't see it that way, mostly because his opinions are based on truth up until 6min. Unlike the tea party who oppose the government based on rhetoric, and a backards religious ideology. This guy is spot on. I'm sure that you don't agree with tea party principles based on your comment, but it sounds nothing like a tea party rant. It's missing the selfishness and religious idedology. This guy has concerns about education and indoctronation, something the tea party could never argue. If they had the power they would unabashedly control education and differences of opinion through indoctronation.

I agree with dystosdopoigva'sdfvtoday. Some people talk like that, but those people aren't a representation of postmodernist culture. They're just like, you know, idiots? No different from the idiots that have existed since the beginning of humanity. Art, civility, perspectives on our role in society, pretensions, our relationships. Those where the things I was hoping for when I watched the video.

Upvote because I openly loathe people who talk like that. I went so far as explaining to a Botany assistant that the way she talked ensured that she would automatically receive less credibility than her peers. Regardless of how intelligent her ideas had been. She since went to grad school and studyed the coastal redwood symbiosis with fungi. When she gave her thesis presentation, I was pleased to hear her talk confidently and with conviction. I was the first one out of my seat to give her an ovation, she nailed the research.

I like the conversation. My 2 cents: The bill was, in its conception, a great policy. But after it went through the special interest ringer that has a stranglehold on our governance, it turned into a giant turd. I have examples but will spare you the ten paragraph rant. The bill stands as a beacon of just how fucked our political system has become. I pray that over time new legislations will be added to ensure that premiums won't increase due to the new insurance regulations. Also that a public option will be added so that people will be activly participating in driving down insurance rates, and turning their money into aditional aid that will reduce the federal deficit.

I do not see this like most of my fellow liberals, as helping out a less fortunate sector on the socioeconomic rung. Their gross income will be reduced more than it has ever been, regardless of whether or not they need any medical coverage at all. I definitly don't agree with the conservatives who think that this is a handout at their expense. No class stands to gain if your looking soley at paystubs, as the republican argument always appears to.

In this story I referenced earlier, the girl claimed that she was in love with him at the time. obviously she was still way too young. It does make me think that whatever happened was consensual, and the girl had a fun night with a guy she was enamored with. On top of that she got paid a bunch of money. Guys still a creep, and he should be booted from any public office. Just don't think that she was a victim in anyway....Been searching for the interview with the woman so I can post a link. Google is now saturated with the story and not motivated enough to sift through all the crap to find it. maybe later. I did find that Maher told a Utah nespaper about the incident before Garn's 2002 primary election and the paper decided not to publish the story. Cover up?

I saw a blog containing an interview with the girl about the incident. She claimed that she was 15. At least she wasn't prepubesent I guess, I think it was a disgusting act regardless. She also cliamed that his account of the night was dishonest and that it was sexual. Claiming that; 'he really loves to massage'.

I don't want to sound like an asshole, but the uptight nerd side of me is screaming right now. Jon Stewart didn't come up with the idea for the dailyshow. It first aired in 96 or so, and was originally hosted by craig kilborn. I personally thought his dry, dissmisive style made him much funnier than stuart.
